germination poor
i am by trade a plant propagator and am honor chairman of the plant propagators association, i am retired [this year] and planned to follow my hobby and grow what we eat in our own garden, i sowed these seeds after chilling the seeds in the fridge for a few days then sowed the seed into a module tray and watered in a propagating compost and then returned them to the fridge at 5 degs i have checked now for three days and there is no sign of life, this seed is very old or there would have been life in 24 hours i have found the same with swede seed and other seed i bought the cotyledons are distorted and germination is variable.while here i also bought some traditional Celery it did grow but the instructions on the packet were for self blanching there was no comment on ridging etc
