The high quality surprised me. This is a nice, professional grade tool.The handle is firm, strong plastic. The tines are a little thicker than on cheaper tools. They really dig in and grab what you want to hold still.Of course, the spaces between the tines make perfect slicing guides depending on the size of your item, knife, and how you are using the tool.This also comes with a nice high quality plastic sheath for easy safe storage.This has been very helpful. I am glad I have it. Better than expected.5 Stars.

The Fantexy Onion Holder for Slicing is just what I needed. I am a klutz in the kitchen and tend to cut myself when trying to cut up food.The Fantexy holder works for a myriad of things, fruits, veggies, etc. It holds the food steadily with the sharp prongs. The handle makes it easy to hold. The prongs make it so your slices are constant and a consistent size.I really like the silicone sleeve to go over the prongs. This keeps you from accidentally stabbing yourself with the prongs; especially when it is in a drawer.

I just used this holder for the first time to slice up some red onions for homemade Pico de Gallo and the holder was a huge help. I once sliced open my thumb while making Pico de Gallo, and ever since then, I've been a bit paranoid of doing it again - so I usually chop and slice up things very slowly in order to prevent another accident from happening. This holder allowed me to chop faster, more accurate and in more equal proportions.The prongs are sharp, which aids in the insertion of whatever fruit or veggie you want to chop up. The prongs comes with a cover, for safe storage. It was also pretty easy to clean.Overall, I do recommend.

This is a must have kitchen tool. This holder is well made and looks nice. The tines are sharp and well spaced, this is an easy way to hold your vegetables and cut or slice them safely. Highly recommended.

Super cute heart cutout on cover was a seller for my daughter.Teaching my kids to cut even slices and watch their fingers. This has been a lifesaver. I love that I don't have to touch the onions as much when slicing.Easy to wash, durable compact size, easy to store.

Comes with a nice plastic sleeve, with a heart cutout. Using this to stab and poke my potatoes before plopping them into the microwave. Better than stabbing them with a fork, just pluck this into one side and roll it into the potato and repeat. Much easier, MUCH safer! Very well made and holding up very well.
