I built a bar in the basement and inlaid the shelves with these LED's to "uplight" the bottles rather than downlighting. Cutting the lights to legth is easy but you can not join light strings together. Then I epoxyed them in the shelf so the bottles wouldn't "bump" the grove that the light was in. The plastic started giving me a little trouble floating while the epoxy hardened but it was worth all the trouble. The lights brighten and dim but do not change color. Looks better in person, works great, and would definitly buy again!

Can warm a room if several used. Otherwise great design

The media could not be loaded. These are great for lighting up shelves and bookcases! We installed them in our bar area and they fit our needs perfectly! Can be easily dimmed with the touch sensor (or in my case, a wave sensor). Their customer service is amazing too - we had questions about their motion sensor and they responded very quickly and even sent us one to try. I highly recommend this light set; so much so that I bought another customized one!

The media could not be loaded. I really want to like these as they are super easy to install with a straight forward design and good value for the price. But the set I received came with a faulty switch. There seems to be a connection issue at the port where the switch wire connects to the transformer. It's very finicky and makes the leds flicker. Without the switch plugged in the lights come on and are steady. Therefore, I cannot use as intended.

we put these under the shelves in our pantry instead of adding an overhead light. They work great!

First and foremost, this is a g great value for a set of complete solution for undercabine LED strips that is even, bright and adds great deal of ambience to any setting. It comes complete with the power distributor block, a single-button wired switch that toggles between on/off/brightness/color setting, and 10 strips. Once installed, the lights are bright and shine evening, but there are a few nuances with this kit.COB STRIPS. The strips come with 3M self-adhesive peel away backing that makes it convenient to attach this to any surface without drilling. Each strip is about 6 feet in total length with the last 2 feet being the COB light. That means, in use, you get about 4 ft of extension between the distribution block to where the light begins. So if you intend on spreading out the lights anywhere farther than 12 ft (6 feet each direction), then you will run out of wire. Though that is a relatively minor issue as you can use any small gauge wire or speaker cable to easily and safely extend the low voltage power beyond the 6 feet reach.CONTROL SWITCH. The kit comes with but one, single-button switch that has a recessed mount for embedding the button into whatever cabinetry you intend to use this light in. It's nice for the custom look but I wish there are more options as most people spending money on a kit like this may not be looking for custom installs and because unless you mount the switch into a furniture, it just dangles precariously about and cannot really be operated without use of both hands because its tiny size and lack of a base for securing the switch (unless installed) Also, for a light that can change color temperature, brightness and on/off, the switch comes a bit short on user friendliness. For example, because brightness level is dictated by the length of time you leave your finger on the touch sensitive switch, and this needs to be done each time you turn it on and off, you can almost never get the correct light settings unless you just want the max brightness.SUMMARY. A greave value of a complete solution for COB lighting suitable for under cabinet use. It's brightned my study a lot and I love its effects. However, the control switch is not user friendly and it always takes a bit of tinkering to get the right settings. It's not a problem for frequent users of the light but for family members or guests who aren't familiar with the setting, there is always a learning curve and slight experiementation required to get it right. For this reason, I am deducting one point for an otherwise great set of lights. It would be more deduction but for how neat and versatile the COB setup is.
