Fisch FSA-134572 Wave Cutter Forstner Bit, 20mm x 8mm

This is the best forstner bit I've ever used. I think the wave edge cuts smoother holes. In ¾ in. MDF (notoriously tough on cutting edges) I didn't notice any tear out. The carbide edge sliced the MDF and peeled it like an apple skin where other bits I've used have had a tendency to shred whatever I'm drilling in. The bit also worked great in soft and hard woods. It has stayed very sharp and cleans easy. I highly recommend these bits and would love to replace all of mine with this line of cutters.

I used this bit to drill 50+ holes in 3/4" MDF for an MFT (multi-function table) top I use in my woodworking shop. The bit cuts a very clean, square edge hole. It clears chips very well, therefore it doesn't heat up like lower cost bits. From the first hole to the last, the feed rate and shaving size was consistent. This bit did exactly what I hoped it would do and more. I'll definitely be able to use this same bit for more MFT tops, as the need arises. Now to build a set in different sizes....

I was trying to drill 20mm holes in my bench top and every drill bit I used (three different ones) would get clogged and stop working. This bit cut through 3/4 mdf and 3/4 plywood like butter. I highly recommend it and anything in their line. Great design and quality.

I was looking for a 20mm bit so I could do an extra clean mount of an electrical fitting onto a Pelican Case. This was the first time I had encountered the Wave Cutter, but it seemed to make sense: More cutting and less tearing. Perfect. I've since added six more Wave Cutter bits and am very happy with the results -- especially with plywoods and composites.

I used it to cut 20mm holes for mft dog storage. The other review at this time mentioned it was slightly too large which is exactly why I bought it as I wanted the dogs to slide in and out easily. There is no slop that I can feel and feels just like sliding them into an mft. I have qwas dogs, parf dogs, and the dogs that came with the mft. Easily cuts into Ash.

As the headline says. I will buy more of these in other sizes.

Endlich mal ein guter Topfbandbohrer.Gute Führung beim Bohren, sehr scharf.Ich hoffe das er auch einige Zeit scharf bleibtMein alter 20 mm Topfbandbohrer ist zu stumpf geworden und ließ sich nicht mehr schärfen.Eigentlich wird er für Topfbänder einzulassen benötigt.Er kommt bei mir aber heufiger im Reparatur Betrieb im Einsatz.Immer dann, wenn Türbhänder bei Küchenschränken ausgebrochen sind, lasse ich einen 20 mm Dübel mit etwas Weißleim ein und verschraub das Türband auf dem Ersatzholz, in dem Fall, auf einen plan abgeschnittener 20 mm Dübel wieder. Vertig ist die Reparatur.Nicht zu teuer, daher volle Punktzahl.

Der Budget-Borher den ich aus einem Set habe, hat bestimmt eine Minute gedreht, ehe ich durch meine 20mm Siebdruck-Platte durch war. Mit diesem Bohrer hier ist das Thema in ca. 5-10 Sekunden erledigt - und das ohne das man Kraft aufwenden muss. Die Frage ist tatsächlich, wie lange er so scharf bleiben wird...

Nachdem mein alter Forstner leider auf einen Nagel traf, musste ein neuer her. Sehr gute Verarbeitung und Geometrie. Immer wieder!
