Great combo set here. Always have had good luck with Detroit axle parts. The quick struts are simple to put in even for people who aren’t real big into work on their cars. The struts are labeled for right and left so no big deal if you pull both off at same time. As I am a mechanic I’ll share a little tip for anyone who is doing this themselves on a cobalt that is. On the top of the strut tower it is stamped R or L. Match that to the strut and you will have no issues. These come with new nuts for the top, as for the bottom you reuse the original bolts.

If I have any complaints it would be that they had the rear shocks in the same box with the struts and they got dented in shipment, they should at least wrap shocks in cardboard or bubble wrap

The struts are ok for what they are. Rear shocks are bouncy but it's a softer ride now hopefully it's not too bouncy.

Upon receiving these, it became apparent that the quality of the item is far lower than the pictures and description lead on. The strut mounts where not installed correctly which would if made installation impossible without taking them apart and putting them back together the right way, and the strut mount bearing utilizes a cheap plastic casing instead of metal, which had arrive cracked, with pieces of plastic and ball bearings rolling around in the box. These are no where near OE quality, and should be avoided.If you do make the mistake of ordering these and change your mind like I did, you be hit with a few surprise charges for return shipping and restocking fees. $17 at the UPS store sending these back, and a surprise $28 restocking fee, both of which I did no know would be charged too me, nor was it clearly advertised anywhere in the descriptions. $45 mistake I will gladly not make again.

Rear shocks installed very easily. Front struts required me to cut off the sway bar linkages due to corrosion. I highly recommend purchasing sway bar links at the same time, also note 18mm wrench and depending on the brand of links you may need a 19mm wrench. Cutting the links was difficult, I ended up using a "Torch" metal blade for my Sawzall and that did the trick.

Perfect fitment and manufacturing. All struts/shocks still perfect 5k miles later. Ride height and body roll all seem to be OEM spec, No noticeable difference.
