never knew how much I needed a heated blanket in my life until I finally ordered one. Y'all! Where has this been my entire life? This is INCREDIBLE to snuggle up on the couch with... especially since I'm one of those people who is always cold.As a native Texan, we're a little bit dramatic when the temps fall below 50 degrees. We act as if we're about to live out our final moments on the frozen tundra. Bottom line is... we don't function well in the cold. We NEED things like heated blankets for the "winters" we have here in Houston; especially when it falls into the 40's a couple of times per year and we're able to actually see our own breath when stepping outside.This blanket is SO SO SOFT, and our kiddos like to curl up under it too. Naturally, I'm always cold and my husband is always hot... or so I thought. I've caught him using it when sitting and relaxing after the kiddos are asleep. It's easy to control the settings, so I'll crank it up while he uses a lower setting. The best of both worlds!Added bonus? This blanket is washable. While I haven't washed ours yet, it's soon to occur because anyone who has young kiddos like we do know that it's runny-nose season... and kiddos use their blankets and arm sleeves as Option 1 when wiping their nose. It's only a matter of time before our cozy heated blanket becomes a snot rag for the little boys. Being able to wash it and get the germs out is HUGE for this mom! (So thankful for that feature!)Would I recommend this item? Absolutely!!Is it giftable? YES!! You'd have one of those "Best Gift of the Season" moments if you gifted this during the holidays.Is it priced appropriately? 100%. This is a great price for a QUALITY product. We are extremely impressed with the softness, versatility, and quality of the blanket. I have wanted a comfy throw blanket for some time – just to keep a little warm while watching TV. I didn’t know what the material was called but I knew I wanted a blanket made of the same material as our dog blankets were made of. I considered just getting a dog blanket for me, but the dog blankets were too small. A regular sized blanket would be too big and bulky where as a 4ft by 5ft sized blanket would be a perfect size but then it would not be the cozy material I was looking for.After a bunch of searching on the internet I finally discovered the material I was looking for was called Sherpa. Sherpa is soft and fluffy and has a curly pile structure. It is used in a soft winter jackets and outerwear. Once I knew Sherpa was the material I was looking for, searching on Amazon became much easier.I found this perfect Sherpa throw blanket and it even included electric five level heat with a four hour auto timed shut off. This Chioky heated blanket checked all the boxes. Size 50 inches by 60 inches. Grey Sherpa outside with a diamond pattern and a solid cream colored Sherpa inside. This was exactly what I was looking for and it also had adjustable electric heat.It is thin, light weight, soft, cozy, and the electric heat really does heat up quickly. I only need level one to feel comfortably warm. Since the controller and plug wires are removable, the blanket can be also used as a simple unheated throw.A nice plus is the controller plug locks into the blanket just like a regular heated blanket so it won’t pull out easily. You can still simply remove the controller when you want to and then the blanket is machine washable. There is no bulky filling inside so the blanket will wash well without bunching. Note: don’t use fabric softener when washing Sherpa and your blanket will remain soft and fluffy.This is a winner – definitely 5 Stars.

This blanket is packaged in a box but it's vacuumed sealed. Once you puncture that plastic, it immediately expands rapidly. You will not be and to get it back inside the boxThe instructions are pretty thorough and details all of the this you should or shouldn't do. Says that it is machine washable. Instructions tell you how to connect the cord to the blanket but this one came already connected. There are five temp settings and I put it on level three. Within 2-3 minutes, the blanket had already heated up to a comfortable warmth for me but it doesn't get very hot. The material is very soft and luxurious on both sides. Well constructed with no loose ends, open edges or heating coils exposed. I chose the dark gray which is perfect for my autistic grandson. He is a snuggler and this will be a delight to him since he's been wanting a heated blanket. Great value for the money. Definitely recommend.

This grey heated electric throw blanket is super fluffy and super soft! The underneath is a sherpa like material making this the most perfect heated blanket we’ve ever owned! Even our cat and dog love and enjoy this as well. When we’re snuggling up together on the couch with this while watching a movie our dog and cat will instantly jump up on the couch and try and worm there way underneath this blanket lol. It’s affordable and works absolutely splendid. We got the grey color and it matches our couch and bedding perfectly. I also appreciate that there’s an attached mini remote you can use to control the heat settings. I also love the multiple different heat levels and it will automatically shut off after a few hours which is great to help prevent accidental fires and bonus it’s machine washable!
