Extremely Sharp Blade out of the box!
I'm very impressed with this FORESAIL Practical flipper. The blade in 14C28N arrived with a precisepply ground edge that is truly razor sharp. The ergonomics of the Micarta grip are comfortable blade up or down.I have a large collection of flipper knives from very well known brandsthat are much higher in price. The cost to value of the FORESAIL knife is incredible.Oh did I mention I really like the overall design.

Grippy Knife
I always tend to underestimate the size of knives when I buy them online. I see the dimensions, then think, "oh that's nice and compact." Perhaps that's better than overestimating in my imagination. Anyhow, this knife is slightly bigger than I prefer for an edc knife. That's no knock against it. It is very well sized for camping, use at work, or on my workbench. This knife handles quite well. It flicks open easily and with some authority. It locks into place securely. It is rather easy to close one-handed. Other than my Benchmade knives, I think this is one of the easiest knives I have for operating with a single hand. Overall, the ergonomics of this knife are great for my hand.My first impression was that this knife felt a bit light. Though I like a somewhat smaller profile, I generally prefer a bit more heft. That is what surprised me most. I actually like the weight after getting accustomed to it. I think that helps with the handling I previously mentioned. As far as fit and finish goes, I'd label this knife as good. Not great, but solidly good. The blade is well centered. The machining is clean and beyond that which I typically expect at this price point. The scales have a very nice shape. Again, I feel that they have had a nicer level of contouring than I would have expected. One down side I see with the scales is that there are a few edges that didn't get any chamferring. Those edges look a bit frayed and somewhat incomplete. However, I do think that these edges help with the handling, so I am not dinging the star rating. The blade steel is a nice grade that sharpens easily and resists corrosion. I have found steels like this or D2 to be quick to sharpen, especially compared to CPM steels like S90V or CPM 154. I can spend hours, literally, getting those grades as "pretty" as I want them to be. You won't need to worry about that with this 14C28N.If you want a nice handling knife that is easy to sharpen, doesn't need constant resharpening, and will do a respectable job avoiding corrosion, then this is a great choice. It looks quite nice and actually works as well as it looks. At this price point, I think you'd be well served if you chose this knife!

Good knife for a good price
This is the golden age of well made inexpensive knives and this is one. First off it just looks cool with the green micarta handle that feels as good as it looks . The blade is made out of 14c28n which is a good steel and holds a sharp edge. It's easy to open with both the thumb hole and flipper. The deep carry pocket clip is removable and reversible and comes with a tool to swap it out and even spare screws. This is a great knife for the money.

Great Knife for either hand!
I have been reviewing a number of knives recently and I have been pleased with the majority of them, and this knife is great!I am no afficianado or fine collector, but when I have a good work knife I know it.The handle of this knife fits solidly in either hand with a good grip design, and its a little rough or dry feeling and does not slip or slide in the hand. The belt clip does not bite into my hand like other knives often do, and it can be changed to either side of the knife. The blade itself is very sharp and so far is holding its edge so I cannot comment on how well it resharpens. The ball bearing action with the flip lever makes the knife deploy smoothly and easily with either hand. It is one of the best deployment actions I have felt so far with the blade being secure in the handle but easy to intentionally flick open without too much force. The blade lock engages perfectly every time when the knife is fully deployed, and is simple to push out of the way to reclose the blade. The knife comes with a couple of spare screws and a hex wrench I assume for relocating the belt clip.

Sturdy, Sharp, and Comfortable Pocket Knife
This large pocket knife is about 8-3/8" opened and is extremely sharp out of the box. I have large hands and the hold is very comfortable. The blade has jimping on the blade spine where your thumb sits, giving you control and allowing you to apply downward pressure. There isn't a distinctive figure choil, but the handle is long and thick enough that this is not needed. The knife pivots are ball-bearing and deploys easily then locks into place. The Micarta handle does feel nice and is slip resistant. I had to look up Micarta and this is a brand name for a type of composite material made from layers of fabric, paper, or other fibrous substances impregnated with resin, such as phenolic or epoxy. The layers are compressed under high pressure and heat, creating a dense, durable, and versatile material. My observation is that this is layered material and I can see the fabric embedded in the layers. It's another tough man-made material that will likely last many years. This is a sturdy, well-built knife and to me is a good value for the price. The quality construction and smooth operation make it a pleasure to use. Ideal for everyday carry or outdoor use.
