CasioMen's G8900A-1CR G-Shock Black and Blue Resin Digital Sport Watch

Band is made of a different quality plastic than I’m normally used to from other G Shocks but it’s not the worst and it doesn’t irritate my skin thankfully.The shades of blue are stunning to look at. The watch light isn’t the brightest but it’s good enough to read time when you’re out late or waking up in the middle of the night.I weigh 350lbs with big wrists and I can fit up to the last two notches with mild comfort. Might take getting used to based on the quality of plastic used on the band. Overall very satisfied with this purchase and definitely would buy this style again in another color.

Great watch, easy to program and function. Thought it was a rubber watch band but its plastic so be mindful of that. Other than that, i love watch for its features and has a great color scheme.

I already have this watch since 2016 aprox ,the appareance is excellent with blue background , and there is no doubt with the resistance I swim in the river ,in the beach , and also I do construction and is my best partnerIt is the reason because I buy a second one

I noticed the reviews were mixed on this watch when I was considering buying it. I was a bit nervous at first but bit the dust and made the purchase anyway. I have to say I am very pleased with this watch. The band is a bit thinner than my previous G shock watches. It doesn't seem quite as rugged as others I have had over the years, but the fit is really nice. It is softer and stays put better on my wrist. I don't even notice it on my arm. It is the same size as my previous G Shock watches which I like a lot. It commands attention and is a serious looking watch. I don't mind it being so shiny as it looks a bit more dressy than the typical G Shock watch which looks more like a sports watch or even a work watch. It is much easier to read the face to me with bigger numbers and the background color. I like that a lot as my eyes aren't what they used to be. The night light works great as do the other features. The book is a bit hard to read as the print is so tiny, but the setup was easy especially if you have had G Shock watches in the past. The menus are exactly the same and easy to figure out. Initial setup took only seconds to complete and the watch run perfectly. I am very happy with this watch. It looks nice, plenty rugged, good price, nice presentation case and the vendor got it to me in no time at all. I would give it 5 start if it were a bit more thicker in the band. The plastic seems to be just a bit thin and softer than I am used to. I really hope it is just as strong as I tend to be hard on my watches. My previous G Shock watches were built like tanks and I have always loved that. Time will tell how this performs over the years. But if you are considering a nice new G Shock watch I would say this watch is a very good buy. I think you will be very happy with your purchase.Tom

This is my fifth G-Shock and the first that is battery-powered. However, there were a couple of initial surprises when I opened the box. First, the watch case and band are very glossy, which is markedly different from my other G-Shocks. It's not disagreeable at all to me; just different. Second, I was a bit concerned that it would be difficult to see the time under certain lighting conditions; based upon my previous experience with negative or reverse lighting displays. Oh, there is no doubt that a positively lit display is usually better, but for some reason, there is not as much difference with this watch as there has been with others of the type. I don't know whether that is attributable to the blue color, or improvements in display technology. Whatever the case, I have not found it difficult to see the time under most conditions with this watch. The functions of the watch are fairly standard among G-Shocks, so I was able to navigate the menu system without referring to the manual. The fit is comfortable. Not as much as much as my 'Sky Cockpit' or 'Mudman,' but it wasn't objectionable. Likewise, the size was in-line with other G-Shocks, so if you already own one and have no objections to the size, this one will probably hold no surprises for you. The backlighting is excellent and works well under all low-light conditions and the buttons are well-placed, so they're not digging into my wrist all day. All-in-all, this is a great addition to my collection and I'm very happy with my purchase!

The most amazing part is the functional auto light that turns on automatically after you angle the watch on your wrist 40 degree towards you. It makes it easy for when your hands are full and you need to check the time while walking. It is very convenient. The blue light illuminates everything very well.I can see the numbers clearly with no struggle. It has a beautiful design with a gloss finish all around down to the straps. It is comfortable and light. The description states that it has a 2-3 year battery life span which is less than other g-shocks i had which had 6 year but it is still pretty good. The color stands out nicely and it is easy to read. The font is big enough to see. Overall It is a great watch. I wear it every day.

I've had several of these watches over the years and all have lasted extremely well despite their harsh treatment in many different countries and environments. My current version is 11 years old and is starting to show its age, hence my purchase. It is however, still perfectly functional, although maybe not so attractive anymore - a bit like its owner perhaps !! Buy one, it won't disappoint.

Purchased as a gift, this is a very cool watch. Programming it was a little bit of a challenge, but I found the online manual on the Casio site quite helpful for that. It's big. Very big, actually, but the band is pretty soft and easy to wear. Overall, very pleased. Thanks.
