Got around the 1Gbps
I got around the advertised 1Gbps. I get around 150 Mbps from the ISP and it did handle the 150Mbps very well. Totally recommend it to anyone who needs a USB-C to Ethernet connection Adapter.

Simple to use
Essential for devices without a wired Ethernet jack, this added the functionality without a fuss. Only 1Gbps, which was sufficient for my needs.

Does the job I needed it to do
I tested this with my laptop and also my iPhone 15. It works great. Too many ethernet adapters only do 100MBs, so this one is perfect for me needs as it does gigabit speeds. Plug and play.

Worked like a champ on Win10 and "plug-in-play" ease of install
Not sure what to say. Win10 laptop.... plugged it in.... lit up and connected a network cable to it and it worked. No fuss or problems. I didn't do exhaustive network speed tests so I cannot speak to speed but it worked easily and seems solidly built. Would recommend and I am glad to have it in my laptop bag for those times I need to hardware somewhere and don't have a RJ45 port built-in.

Did not work
This did not work on my dell laptop. I was unable to connect to ethernet using this adaptor.

Great for when you need faster internet speeds, or just want to test your network
Occasionally, I need to plug my computer directly into the modem. Either because:1. The wireless network has gone out and I need to test whether I’m still getting actual internet pumped in and it’s just the router’s fault, or whether the entire Internet Service Provider is having outage issues.2. I need the fastest speeds possible for uploading or downloading huge files in a short amount of time.Modern Macs don’t have ethernet ports built-in (and phones have never had them) so this USB-C adapter allows me to plug any of my machines directly into the information highway with no wireless middleman. This adapter has a nice look and feel and works well. I did have a false start, however, when first trying this product. I couldn’t get internet working on my computer no matter which router I plugged into. Eventually I realized it was because Apple’s newer operating systems have a safety pop-up window where users have to confirm the device plugged into their computer is okay to use. Once I gave my approval, smooth-sailing.I already had one of these adapters that I keep in my travel bag for hotels and work, but it’s nice to have a second one to keep near my router for when needed.

Works fine
Most newer laptops, both Apple and Windows, no longer have Ethernet ports for wiring into a network. Fortunately, usually we can use WiFi, so there's no need. However, I needed to setup a network and had to log on to the cable modem before setting up WiFi, so I needed one of these. It worked perfectly on my WIndows (Lenovo) laptop and connected to the port on the cable modem with no issues. I ran a Speedtest or two and confirmed I was getting close to advertised speeds, so all was good. Good to have one of these handy if you need to hardwire (maybe for a huge download?) or if WiFi isn't available.

Plug in and It Works!
I ordered this to test its ability to convert an Ethernet cable to a USB-C cable. The reason is I will have to be ordering a new laptop computer sometime in the near future due to the fact that support for Windows 10 will end on October 14, 2025. My current computer will not run Windows 11. As I am doing my research on laptop computers, I see in addition to no longer coming with CD drives, they also do not have ethernet ports. I like to use a hard wired ethernet port when using my computer at home. The new computers do have USB-C and combo USB-C/Thunderbolt ports. My wife's computer has a USB-C port, so I tested this adapter with it. I just plugged in the adapter to the computer's USB-C port and plugged in my ethernet cable to the adapter and it just works. No fussing with any settings.
