The bells are supposed to clip onto your rod via a plastic cloths pin arraignment. Problems with the idea are the opening is larger than the tip of a rod so your clipping to the threading of the second or third eyelet down the rod so still missing the nibbles. The biggest issue with this we have found is once you go to cast if you do not remove it you will hear two splashes. The first your bait landing in the water, the second the bells flying past your bait and landing in the water. There is no holding power to the clip so you must remove them to cast. Bit of a disappointment not well thought out but very cheap so its not a major loss when you forget and cast one away

I thought these would be cheaply made but with so many I figured I'd still be ahead even if a few were defective. But they are better than the pair I bought at the sporting good store for $7.00. The clips are wide enough and the clip spring is strong enough that I can clip it on my pole in a variety of ways. They seem sensitive to a fish just tapping the line yet they don't ring with slight wind.

Great amount for the price! Outside our bedroom windows in the alley are some thick bushes and they have been hollowed out in the middle. It looks as though it was cleared out by somebody for a spot to chill. Great job too but no! So I got some fishing line and added these bells in random spots. Few nights after they went off ringing like crazy! Went out to see but nobody was there. Took off I guess. Hasn’t happened since other than little rings that I can see are cats as they run down the alley from our bushes.

I have been using this style of fishing bell for years, all bells were in good shape and they hold on to my poles just fine. If you have a keen ear the bells do have different tones which I like because I can tell them apart when fishing with multiple poles.

I purchased these bells to place on ice fishing rods that automatically set the hook These bells work great! I can hear the bells every time the fishing rod goes off.

I THINK I HAVE GIVEN MORE TO MY KIDS BUT THEY WORK GREAT ON FISHING POLES AT NITE OR DAY AND ICE FISHING OR JUST SITTING STILL ON THE BOAT.

These are great, cheap bells that do their job. Fishing off the dock at night is made easier with these bells. This is the 2nd time I have bought them and will buy again when I need more.

For the price and the amount they give you, these are sturdy pieces. Very nice to have around to avoid fishes from getting away or to be ready to grab your pole. If you purchase good luck! Definatly recommend.
