Initial impressions
I haven't used or sharpened this yet, so this is just commentary on the design, the ergonomics, fit and finish and materials. It's a bruiser and I don't just mean the thick scales and beefy blade stock. By that I mean the finger groove just behind the flipper tab is in serious need of chamfering, it's a pronounced hot spot, making it fairly uncomfortable when gripping hard, as one would on a knife that seems otherwise designed for harder use. Some sandpaper should correct the issue.Other than that, it's very cool looking and definitely beefy enough to take some abuse. The lockup of the liner lock against the tang of the blade on mine was sturdy enough to handle a few spine whacks without disengaging. The blade stock is thick as are the sculpted and textured G-10 scales. It's comfortable enough other than that finger groove. You can see the pics and stats so there isn't much more to say, not having used or sharpened it yet. The liners are weight-relieved.All in all, I do like it and see it getting a lot of use as the coolest looking beater knife I have, once the sanding is finished. K110 is a good blade steel assuming it's heat treated well and they did a good job with the edge at the factory.
