Ordered as a Christmas present. Have been told they're exactly perfect.

Wow, some really stupid reviews here. 'Arrived on time!' why do people write 'reviews' like that? Going in I had no idea of the main problem with this boxed set trilogy and I only found out after finishing reading the 3rd book. It's not a trilogy. There's 5 so far and I don't think it's finished. OH. So why would you buy a boxed set of just the first 3? You wouldn't unless amazon and the publisher tricked you in to thinking you were getting a trilogy and a complete story - you aren't.That said, I've now read the first 3 books in the Witcher saga. Are they good? Sadly in my opinion the answer is no. The quality of the writing is decent and the historical accuracy is good through to research but these are books are bogged down with exposition. Mountains of it! Almost the entire contents of each volume is people talking about what is going on. It's all 'tell' with no 'show'. I wouldn't have minded a little but that's literally all there is. I'm not saying the games are better, it's foolish to compare one medium to another and the truth is I haven't played any of them. The problem with these books is that none of them actually tell a story, they tell tiny bits of a story (through long-winded exposition about dozens of characters you don't care about) but there is no separate story told in any of them and all together as a trilogy - they still don't tell a story.It looks like this is already out of print so you may have already been saved from this misleading rip-off.

The books arrived on time, and in amazing conditions, the artwork is fabulous and the pages have good quality has well. Not to mention that this way you get a more personalized set of the series with a really affordable price! Will probably buy the next books from the same company.

As a fan of The Witcher game series, I delved into the books expecting a familiar narrative. However, the chronological order surprised me (the first book is actually the third in the series, leaving readers utterly confused). Despite this, the books offer a rich exploration of the Witcher universe. The Netflix cover confusion aside, this bundle is a recommended read for a comprehensive understanding of Geralt's world.

Universo di Tolkien e The Witcher sono dei miei preferiti fantasy universi. Ordine e arrivato in tempo e senza problemi :)
