Highlander Lightweight Unisex Outdoor Nato Mat

I’m a male, my wife is female, we had a near identical experience of this unisex mat. It’s lightweight compared to anything heavier. It can also be used indoors if you fancy bringing the outdoor experience indoors. I tired using this mat for yoga, it’s a terrible yoga mat, my downward dog left paw marks in it

a good choice , this is well made and the two elastic bands holding the roll in place an excellent idea . the whole idea is to use as a buffer between yourself and the wet/cold ground ,not a mattress ..

I bought two of these mats. They do provide some level of warmth when put together, or one on top of the other. But not when I'm sleeping on only one of theseIn general, I am happy with this product/item and with the price of it

Very comfortable and easy to roll up. It is a bit soft, however, so I frequently get some wears-and-tears in it when using directly on f.example a cliff surface. I use this instead of a sitting mat when Im out walking in the Scottis Highlands; sit on the short end and let the rest of the mat blow up against your back to use as a wind shelter!

The colour and size match. However when used on an overnight stay in the Lakes and as part of the DofE expedition, we found that it was thinner than the one I had purchased from a store. One could say a case of princess and the pea, but my daughter was able to feel the pebbles through this sleeping mat. I would go for something thicker next time.

Took this with me on an Intrepid adventure tour to Africa. So glad I bought it, light to carry yet gave my back a much needed extra layer of comfort while camping. Also very impressed with quick delivery as I bought it 3 days before my trip! Highly recommend!

Wanted a cheap stand-in as the camp bed I’d ordered got delayed and wasn’t arriving until after my first camping weekend 🙄 Didn’t expect a thin bedroll like this to be as comfortable as it is. Speedy delivery, well packaged and perfectly simple to use. Will probably use this for 1 night stays in future rather than mess around setting up a proper bed. Definitely one for backpackers or campers who want to travel light.

This is the worse product I have ever purchased for outdoor activities and I believe that the good reviews come from inexperienced people pleased by the price. This is clearly just a piece of multi-purpose foam from a large reel cut roughly to size in a warehouse somewhere, given a fancy name and then posted out: mine was not even straight edged......but most importantly it is far too thin to provide any useful insulation from the ground. When you lie in a sleeping bag you collapse the air space between you and the ground so there is no insulation at all: this mat SHOULD provide a compensatory layer for this lack of air space but anyone weighing more than 2kg will just compress the foam and get cold quickly: for the same reason there is no comfort here. To name this as NATO is laughable....my advice...say no to the nato and try something else.
