AFM/DFM Disabler & Auto Start/Stop Eliminator for 2005-2024 GM Trucks, SUVs & Cars

Yes, I was skeptical at first due to the other reviews, combined with the cost of this item.I took the chance for my 2023 GMC Acadia. Plugged it in and paired it to my app. Then I looked at updating the firmware.It was 7 updates old. So I thought I don’t want to just go for the latest and greatest right off the bat. (Did t want to chance bricking it) So I went in order of release and updated this thing 7 times.Then rebooted the car, app, and plugged in the car bite again. All is working as it should other than the AFM/DOD says it’s running on 8 cylinders. Not a biggie. It is doing what it says it’s supposed to do. That’s good enough for me.Now on to trying it on my friends high end vehicles. A pair of new range rovers.

Got this for a friend who hated the auto stop functionality on this Chevy truck. It works as expected. My biggest complaint is it doesn't turn off the indicator light on the button but to be honest you forget about it in a couple of day. The ability to control active fuel management is a big plus in places were the truck is getting heavier use and the hesitant response to throttle would cause issues. The software is pretty bare bones but it is something you set up once and forget about it. My feeling is that the amount you will save in repairing starters and replacing batteries make this a good value for the price.

I drive a 2022 Silverado 1500 LtZ 5.3LThis device would only work intermittently. The app would say the start/stop feature is deactivated but then I would come to a stop And my vehicle engine would stop. Other times it would work fine. There was no consistency. I upgraded the firmware, I unplugged and plugged it back in, I Reset to factory mode and made sure the firmware was up to date.Here is an example. The device seemed to be working when I was driving to work this morning. I have to drive about 12 miles to get onto the HWY. There are a bunch of lights on the way. I say it seems to work bc when I stopped at the red lights the engine would stay on. Once I got on the HWY and drove about 20miles and had to come to a complete stop. The engine cut off. The app showed that the device was working properly, but it wasn’t.So that’s what I mean by the device works intermittently.I did NOT pay this high of price for a device to only work intermittently.

Works perfectly in my 2020 Chevy Trail Boss. 5.3L, 10-Speed transmission! No more 4 cylinder mode that can potentially damage the engine (lifters and pushrods). And NO MORE auto-stop at traffic lights!!! Awesome product!

Shuts off the auto stop and keeps vehicle from going into and out of eco mode. I hated turning off the auto stop every time I got in the car. This baby works great. I also heard the back and forth with eco mode can hurt your lifters over time.Once you plug it in and go over 40 miles and hour you never have to worry about the auto stop again.

Works. Things to note, it does not disable AFM/DFM until after traveling over 40 mph for a couple seconds. It looks to reset your driving mode back to 'Normal' every time you stop/start the vehicle (ie. you select 'Sport' mode, drive around, turn vehicle off, start vehicle, drive mode will be in 'Normal' mode). This is almost as frustrating as the auto stop/start, now i have to select drive mode (if i want Sport) every time i start my rig (similar to previously having to turn off the stop/start function). Traded pushing a button for having to twist a knob....Carbyte should fix this asap (yes i have the latest software version). My vehicle is a 2023 Yukon

I originally bought this to disable the annoying start/stop feature. Bonus that it's a combo start/stop disabler and a AFM/DFM disabler at a great price for both. As soon as I plugged it in, it was easy to connect with the app with no issues. The firmware was already the latest version but I decided to install again. It was pretty much plug and play even if you didn't use the app.First time I drove with this plugged in, WOW! I knew the truck always felt hesitant and weak but just chalked it up as that's just the way it is and unfortunately got used to it. I had even debated on trading it in because it didn't have the power as my last truck did and it was a V6 versus my V8 now. Man, I have been missing out. What a difference this makes. I can now feel the power and can definitely feel the difference in the pedal. As soon as you barely give it a little pedal you can feel it. It was very hesitant and lagged before. Disabling the start/stop has been great not having to press the button every time.I'm disappointed that I didn't find this sooner. Definitely worth the price to get both disablers in one. Being able to upgrade the firmware when new ones comes out is a plus as well so this will never be obsolete.Great product and value. Would highly recommend this.
