Platinum Comedy Series - Paul Rodriguez - Live in San Quentin [DVD]

Live In San Quintin was the most entertaining comedy dvd that I have purchased. This was so much fun to watch with my parents and my sister. The special features were very so good and interesting. You should always let someone know that you have included great bonus features. Paul Rodriquez is the best, and is so sincere in trying to get the message out to the kids. Good Job Paul!

Loved it. Have been looking for this movie for years. It did not disappoint.

I don't know what the last guy is talking about, but if you want to laughf your ass off, this is the one you want to buy.

I bought it, I watched it, I trashed it. Why? Because I knew I would never watch it again. Very foul humor. Some parts were okay, but then other parts were... foul. Example, he had a skit that involved the suggestion of being sodomized by his father. Another skit was nearly as bad involving a proctologist. Need I say more? The only redeeming value this DVD has is in the bonus material where he tours the prison and interviews the inmates with the clear message to the kids to stay out of trouble and out of prison and to stay in school! He could of done that without the foul humor.

I saw this when it originally aired on fox back in the 90's. I was disappointed that the dvd does not contain all of the same footage as the fox special. There was supposed to be a lot of footage about the prison

For being produced in "95, this just feels so out of touch. It makes it very hard to watch today because he talks about Mike Tyson and Rodney King. I doubt I would have laughed much even when it came out, but it's just too out-dated to bring many laughs. Good comedians are timeless and remain funny 30 years later. I expected it to be far more entertaining judging by him being inside the prison, but the inmates don't even really seem amused. It's just forced and not very funny. Sometimes you find yourself being embarrassed for Rodriguez when his jokes fall flat. He's just an amateur, no wonder I haven't seen him since 1995.

i had this concert on a VCR tape but time had taken its toll. this is Paul Rodriguez at his raunchiest. this is not for the feign at heart. i suppose it has to do with his "captive" audience -prisoners. he really gets down & dirty but it is hilarious. several times we had to stop the concert in progress while we gathered our sanity back to half normal.he really knows how to tame these guys & have them laughing like they've never laughed before. he picks on different guys & says many funny things about them off the top of his head. he is very quick witted & will have you laughing til you can't take any more. don't leave this DVD laying around for the kids to find.
