The Renaissance, the Reformation, and the Rise of Nations

A comprehensive discussion. A lot of information to take in but well worth the effort.

I had Professor Fix as a teacher at Lafayette College and he taught all of the pre-modern classes on Europe. I'd recommend the videos over the audible, but the courses are great and anyone who gave it a poor rating probably just couldn't keep up - its a lot to take in, especially for someone unfamiliar with the field.

I'm only 3 lectures in and I know I should wait but I find it very frustrating listening to this professor. He has terrible vocabulary. Doesn't give explanations for why things happen, just says they happen. Will say something like "the king at the time" and not even put in the effort to say the kings name. He kind of sounds like an uneducated stoner who is just repeating the information he heard somewhere else on history of which he doesn't have his own thoughts and with his limited vocabulary does an awful job of it. Also, he repeats himself so much this whole thing could easily be half if not a third of the time.
