This Vminno Stud Finder has been a game-changer for my DIY projects. The upgraded smart sensor is very accurate, detecting wood, metal, and live wires without fail. This 6-in-1 electronic stud detector features an upgraded smart sensor, allowing accurate detection of wood, live wires, and metal studs. This stud finder does everything it promises to do. It locates the edges of studs with a graphical display of converging bars. When the bars converge, the edge is found. You need to do it from both sides of the stud to find both edges. The edge is marked both, by a notch in the stud finder as well as a red arrow projected on the wall.120v electrical circuits are identified with a triangle with a lightning bolt symbol.The deep finder seems also to work. I used the finder on a section of wall that I know has a lot of pipes and wires running through it. When in normal mode, the normal studs are located fine. When I went into deep mode, quite a few more notices were present.The little picture hanging kit is cute. It includes eight picture hangers (four large and four small), a carpenter's pencil and a bullet level. The bullet level has a magnetic strip that can be used to hold it to a steel surface.

First time using a stud finder. Very easy to use and highly consistent / reliable.

Finds nothing in the entire frame house. Waste of money

It's not very sensitive on the half inch setting. So I just use 1" and it does fine. Its OK for the price.

First of all, I love the extras that came in the box. A little tape measure, level, pencils, carrying case, and batteries. This would be a great starter kit for a college student (that’s what we were using it for) or someone in their first home.The stud finder works a little different than traditional ones in that you have to calibrate the wall thickness each time before you use it. I would consider this only a mild inconvenience, as the stud finder itself seems to be very accurate. I compared it next to one that cost three times as much and they worked the same.I also like the fact that the screen tells you where the edge of each stud is as well as the center.
