The Prizmatix High Power Microscope-LED Light Source is an affordable and expandable solution for fluorescence excitation in upright and inverted fluorescence microscopes. The Mic-LED head comprises a high power single chip LED and built-in adjustable collimator and connects directly to the epi-fluorescence port of your microscope. The XY adjust screws enable precise alignment of the LED system to microscope light path. Each Mic-LED is shipped with specific test report providing information on total beam power and emission spectrum. The Prizmatix Mic-LED is part of Prizmatix 's modular Optiblock system. Using beam combiner blocks the LED can be expanded to a multi wavelength excitation system, using any of Prizmatix 's collimated High Power and Ultra High Power LEDs. This collimated LED is easily converted into a fiber coupled source using Prizmatix FCM1-0.5. The BLCC-04 controller included with this system is calibrated to deliver the current needed to drive the LED at highest level possible. The BLCC-04 current controller features isolated TTL and Analog inputs for fast switching and D/A control of LED output power. Fast TTL can be modulated up to 50kHz. Low noise driver delivers typical RMS noise (DC-1MHz) of less than 0.03%Olympus Adapter fits Olympus BX and IX models. Other microscope adapters are available. Great Illumination Source
My research group has been using the Prizmatix ultra high power LEDs for 3 years and have been very pleased with them. Our work focusing on developing new approaches to cytometry using microscopy, and towards this we have had to build our own custom microscopy systems. A crucial requirement was to cover the visible spectrum with a bright illumination source. Traditional approaches using laser sources was outside of our budget. In our experience, these LEDs are incredibly bright (high irradiance), uniform, and when used together illuminate over the visible spectrum. For us, and our collaborators, the Prizmatix UHP LEDs were a great investment overall
