Impressive powder!
I bought this Manic Panic white powder as make up for a Halloween costume. I originally bought it because it was cheap and I didn't really want to spend a whole lot of money on something I was only going to use once... but I'm completely impressed with this powder compact! The size of a normal compact case, this powder was sheer and light on my face. I used a sponge applicator instead of the powder puff that was included and it had immediate coverage of my skin. Two layers and you couldn't see my natural skin tone anymore. I used it over some white foundation, so your experience may be a little different if you don't use a base product, but you're going to love this powder anyway! For a sheer look, I'm now using it occasionally as a highlighter / contouring powder with a soft bristle make up brush. I'm just as impressed using it this way as I was when I had the heavy layers. It's lightweight and not cakey like other powders out there. Overall, a great value for some great pressed white powder.

Works well for daily white powder usage
Very nicely packaged. Works well as a white powder for daily use. Almost too powdery for stage/Halloween use doesn't give as good coverage to create a White, white face! Still very satisfied it met the stage need altho pretty expensive at almost $20.

Fantastic Costume Powder Foundation
Was searching for a white powder to recreate Victorian era makeup and this item knocked it our of the park! The powder comes in a handheld case with a mirror and a separate compartment for cushion applicator. As soon as you start applying the powder, the coverage begins quickly and easily. I would say I applied 2 or 3 coats to get the coverage I was desiring. The powder does not crack, smear, or fade. I’m thoroughly impressed! I loved my outfit, but the makeup up was essential to truly hit the the whole look out of the park and this powder delivered.100% would recommend for victorian era makeup or vampire costume.

2012 1st USED, Now in 2021 still the same formula!
I'm so glad this powder is STILL being made after so long of me not using it for a while since I wanted to try other vegan, cruelty free make-up brands NOW I'm permanently back to it but unfortunately MP discontinued "Moonlight" pressed powder that was my #1 shade if I decide not use "Virgin" for a change!so here are my PROs & CONs:CONs: NOTHING! But moisturize your face before using this product IF you have dry prone skin like I do, otherwise it will show flaws, patches & discomfort sometimes I don't use face premier (currently looking), but exfoliate & moisturize your skin before applying I never had a problem with fading, I still continue to look white an hour before midnight!PROs: FULL COVERAGE! It covers my thick beard (at least on me), lasts long, Not 24 HRS but the end of the clubs, shows, etc. I recommend it!!Dear MP/ Tish & Snooky PLEASE DO NOT DISCONTINUE THIS PRODUCT!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!

Buy 2
I got this foundation powder today and it’s so good I’m buying another one. If you are looking for that white look without the cakey/pasty look, this is the one! When I went to just try it on it inspired me to have some fun with it. I had to, it’s just too good! It’s really good quality and blends well with whatever kind of applicator you want to use.

Perfect for costumes, but not for daily wear
I bought this for a Halloween costume as well as daily wear. I have extremely fair skin, even makeup specifically made for paleskin/redheads is typically too dark for me. White out makeup tends to be the only thing light enough. I also bought this for my Halloween costume which involved white out skull makeup. For white out costume makeup, this is perfect! I also used Mehron white magic sticks (which is like an opaque white out stick foundation). This powder helped it actually set so that it was dry to the touch and lasted all night (7+ hours) with no touch up needed! It also evened out the white out makeup so that it looked totally smooth and streak free. I got compliments on it all night and I still have people asking me how I was able to achieve and completely dry, matte, shine free, even, streak free white base. This is ideal for costume makeup!I just wish I could say the same for daily wear :/ The color is perfect for my skin tone! It evens out my skin and helps lighten up my (always too dark) foundation. The HUGE problem is the texture/finish. Over a natural looking foundation or tinted moisturizer, this looks very cakey and artificial. It settles into pores very badly, making them look huge and dark. It almost gives you the appearance of having black heads in big pores, the exact opposite of what I am looking for in my daily makeup. It looks bad pretty much immediately upon application, and just looks cakier the longer you wear it. It also is so dry that it doesn't blend easily, and that is coming from someone with oily skin. It also sits heavy, it definitely feels like you are wearing a lot more makeup than you are. The sheer white color also seems to exacerbate the appearance of redness. So I would recommend this over any other powder for white out costume makeups like skulls, but for daily wear it just didn't work for me :/ Maybe someone with less redness and a normal (instead of oily) skin type could make better use of this.
