Expected more hydration.
Yes, this tones the redness but it has a matte finish and is not very hydrating. Sorry I usually love Nia 24 products.

It works!
It definitely hides my redness caused by Rosacea. It did make my skin feel drier after applying it, but that could be due to my already dry skin from Rosacea rather than the lotion itself. If you need to cover redness, it does the trick. I would definitely recommend this to my friends.

Works like magic
I have intense reactions to certain triggers like caffeine and alcohol. They make my face redden almost instantly, which can be embarrassing. I've tried lots of products that claim to reduce redness and the appearance of redness and this one is the best by far. I can't live without it now. It looks a little greenish when you spread it on but a thin layer quickly combines with my skin tone (which is naturally fair).

Best stuff ever!
I have used a lot of color correcting creams and this one is by far the best! It may be a little pricey, but you use such a small amount of it daily it is worth it. It was recommended to me by my dermatologist.

Works to reduce redness
This definitely helps reduce my redness. I dab it on instead of rubbing it in before applying my foundation.

Added redness
Definitely not soothing. Added more redness to the exact areas I applied.

Not my favorite
I am very ambivalent about this product. I have redness in my cheeks and it something I usually try to cover up with light make up. I also have dry skin, especially in the winter. The first time I used this was a mess. I tried to put make up on after using it and it just pilled up and I had to literally wash my face and start over. The second time I just used it in the afternoon without make up and it took away the redness very nicely. It was very silky and smooth. The third time I had a dry spot on my cheek and all it did was highlighted the dryness. This is definitely not a lotion that is going to moisturize a dry spot. Honestly for what it is, I can get something a lot cheaper with a green tint rather than wondering if this is going to be a hit or miss every time I put it on. I like it when it's not pilling but I don't like worrying about if it's going to work properly or if I have dry area.

Lessens But Doesn’t Negate Redness
This redness reduction cream is like an elementary school science project: green blocks out red wavelengths so that the eye can no longer see red. This light green cream works on the same principle; however, it only minimizes the red/pink in a complexion. I use this on my cheekbones where my skin is the most red, and it mutes the color. The directions say to use it under moisturizer and make-up, but, since my moisturizer contains both retinol and sunscreen, I prefer to put it underneath. I use it sparingly, and it disappears into my skin almost immediately. You won’t see the green. When I go out, I put a light foundation on top to even my facial coloration even more. This cream does not treat or remove the cause of redness — it only covers it with an optical illusion. For most, that will be good enough.— Debbie Lee Wesselmann
