ProntoTec X1 10.1 inch Quad Core Android Tablet PC, Android4.4, 1.2GHz,1024600 HD, Dual Cameras, Multi Points-Touch Touch Screen, 8GB Storage, HDMI - White

I was in the market for a Tablet as a present for my 12 year old boy when I came across reviews for up coming tablets for under $150. He enjoys watching game reviews and such on youtube when he isn't gaming himself on my wife's laptop and was wanting a suitable replacement for such a minimal task. I myself enjoyed using a 2012 Samsung Note 10.1 and currently use a Sureface RT for my web streaming/browsing I picked up at bestbuy from Black Friday sales last year in 2013. I am so far happy with my purchase of the ProntoTec 2014 NEW 10.1 inch A31S Quad Core Android Tablet, but will have to have the full satisfaction to be determined by the one to receive this gift. I will keep you posted on HIS review of the gift and capabilities and expectation. The major payoff that topped this purchase was due to the fact I was extremely pleased to see that my order arrived ahead of schedule, it originally had an "Expected delivery: Friday, January 9, 2015 - Tuesday, January 27, 2015 by 8pm", yet I received it over this past weekend. Just in time for the holidays.Out of box I found the tablet to have the following Specs with minor "APPS" installed:Model: C2106Android Version: 4.4.2Firmware Version: v4.6Kernel Version: 3.3.0Build Number: e131h_20140930Processor Type: Quadcore-A31 SeriesAfter about an hour of overlooking this product I have came to my conclusion:Screen is decent and image quality once loaded it crisp and clean ****, while the speaker, that's right ONE, is weak *, yet I expect the kid to use headphones anyways. I am worried for the whole outer case of the tablet is a plastic and do not expect it to take falls on the corners at all**, which in turn will be investing in a case once I have found one sufficient. Based on the good reviews I got this tablet. Although it was plenty fast and easy to use, it was the "little" things that were not good enough for me. The screen is not HD, but that I could get over if it wasn't for the obnoxious glare and "dimming" aspect (basically where you can't see the screen from every angle, only one, otherwise it's darkened). But, what really made me return the tablet, was how awful the sound quality was. I wanted to be able to watch Netflix and such, but the sound was so bad that even in a quiet room "full volume" was not loud enough. I didn't try headphones, but honestly I didn't want to have to always wear headphones to watch anything.If these things wouldn't bother you, then this tablet is a good buy for the price. However, they were deal breakers for me (as I have seen other cheap kid tablets with better features) and I returned the tablet.

This is my first tablet experience. If you are looking for a low budget 10" tablet then this works really well. The sound quality is very poor on headphones.. but it works well on wireless speakers. It looks really delicate but looks good when inside the case. I am surprized to find no volume button on the device. Did you guys forget to provide one? Its camera is not very great, but it isn't a camera after all. Battery backup is not very great and battery stays up for 4-5 hours when loaded with many apps functioning at the same time. Can't ask for more with a 10+" display at this price.Overall I like this product and will recommend it to people who are not looking for a very high-end tablet for daily use. It is value for the money! It comes with a charger, USB chord, and a pen.

This tablet surprised me greatly! I bought 3 tablets under $100 with this one being the most most expensive of the 3. After opening the first 2, I was not expecting very much. But, when I opened and powered on this tablet I was not anticipating the quality of this device. This device powered on quickly and immediately connected to my wifi. I was able to download any app I needed and the tablet performed quickly with little to no lag time. The screen is obviously below par in comparison to any more expensive name brand tablet, but in the sub $100 range it was the best I have come across. Also this tablet has and HDMI out which was a very nice feature. Do not hesitate to buy this tablet if you need a low cost good performing device.
