The 3 stars are essentially for the look alone. This bag is ridiculous levels of cute, classy, and stylish.... That's about where the compliments end.Straight out of the box (and the little fabric shipping bag) it has a strong chemical smell. Having bought stuff like this before, I expected this and sure enough, few minutes outside the box and the scent is already dissipating, not a big deal.The bag also has a slightly "greasy" feeling, likely from the paint. Not greasy enough to go anywhere, but enough that you feel it, rub it between your fingers, and kind of go, "...ew."I began handling the bag to take out the minimal amount of paper stuffed inside when I noticed....noise? The lining for the pockets seem to be made out of a polyester that is so stiff and plastic-y that it crinkles and rather loudly at that. This might be something that will soften over time and with use, but I was not really expecting the bag to be loud.My biggest grievance, however, are the pockets themselves. Aside from the one main inside of the purse, all the pockets are extremely shallow which, for a fashion industry that already demands my pants pockets only be large enough to contain a single Tic-Tac (if they even HAVE pockets), is completely unconducive to the point of buying a purse. Despite being extremely annoyed by the lack of pocket space in what is essentially a "large pocket" you carry around, if I can't find another purse I like more that fits my budget, I'll just keep the bag, tearout the insides, and replace them with a quieter fabric and pockets that go all the way down to the bottom of the bag. Despite the amount of work involved, in my opinion, the bag really is just that cute.Final word: it's a super cute bag, but knowing what I know now, I probably wouldn't buy it again.

Perfect size for 6th graders stuff. Made good, very sturdy.

The bag is ok. The color is a much darker navy than the picture portrays but overall for the price it’s not bad. The straps are surprisingly comfortable and the buckle that holds the straps in place is pretty sturdy. It’s roomy on the inside and has decent pockets for easy access of items. I plan to have it monogrammed to perk it up a bit.

So cute! Plenty of storage for travel and tourism. I could fit my water bottle, 2 books, and wallet in with no problem at all.The only issue I had was that the seams were fraying a little by the end of my week long vacation.

Cracked buckle/clip 1st week of school. We are already looking for a new backpack. It appears that this one won't last the entire year.

Snap needs to be more magnetic. Hard to snap because bag buckles in and snap gets folded in

UPDATE:I have returned the item and the seller was so helpful with a replacement. Thank you!The strap won't stay closed and the metal lock is broken. The outside looks fine but the lining inside is not very well made.
