Great company questionable battery.
I am only giving three stars because Volt Depot, and Fed-ex are great companies that managed to deliver these batteries a day earlier than promised. If I wasn't in desperate need for these batteries this week, I would have returned them. I'm not even sure that these are real Amstron manufactured batteries. The original Amstron batteries with the exact same part number have deep recessed terminals , and a plastic case that makes it impossible to accidently touch terminals with another battery. My wife's scooter has a plastic battery case that has the batteries facing each other with the terminals in the middle of the case. Even with a short divider wall to prevent slipping, I could see that this was a fire hazard just waiting to happen. There was only, an 1/8" between a positive, and negative terminal when the batteries were properly placed. I had to flip one battery over to separate the terminals. That meant that the battery no longer fit in the case because the terminal was up against the divider wall. That meant modifying the case, and cutting out some baffles to make it fit. I also had to relocate the connecting plug to make room.This was all done to prevent a guaranteed explosion.Besides recessed terminals, my original batteries had terminal tabs with hex head bolts for tightening. These batteries have small Philips head screws that screw straight down. These batteries showed a full charge of 12.9 volts each before installation. Upon installation the cart wouldn't move until after being on the charger for several hours. They must have just been showing a surface charge.If your installation is similar, I would look for the exact replacement battery with the correct terminals. Apparently, part numbers don't mean anything anymore.Again, I was on a strict deadline for use, and was willing to make the necessary modifications in order to have a safe installation.
