🌊 Keep it cool, keep it safe!
The GDSTIME 80mm x 25mm 12V IP68 Waterproof Exhaust Fan is a compact and efficient cooling solution designed for use in humid and confined spaces. With a robust IP68 waterproof rating, dual ball bearings, and a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours, this fan is perfect for RV refrigerators, marine applications, and more. It operates quietly at just 31 dBA while delivering an impressive airflow of 43.6 CFM.

Great for RV fridge cooling but get a PWM speed control
Seems like these will hold up well in a protected outdoor environment. They are loud at 3000 rpm though.

I like the air flow and convenience of the kit's components.
I needed a cooling fan for a project and this kit was exactly what I needed. I like that the grills and hardware were included with the kit. The output of the fan is pretty good and makes a noticeable difference in my application, and it's relatively quiet as well.I've got a modified fast EZGO RXV golf cart which in certain circumstances uses a large resistor to absorb excess regenerative braking energy, which causes the resistor to get very hot and can eventually overheat under the right conditions. I mounted the fan near the resistor and ran the fan power through a thermal switch. This setup has proved to work very well. The fan provides active cooling for the resistor, plus the fan is just loud enough to hear, which serves as a bit of an early warning. Hopefully the IP68 rating ensures it will last a long time.Overall I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend it.

Good Moderate-Speed Fans
So far, I'm very satisfied with these fans. They put off a good, moderate breeze; A little stronger than expected for the size and wattage. Current measured was around 170mA at just over 12v, or about 2 watts of power. They feel relatively sturdy, made with a fairly thick, durable-feeling plastic. Blade guards on both sides are a plus, as hard plastic blades at this speed is more than enough to cut your hand if you touch it accidentally. There is a clear sealant painted over the wire solder joints on the fan, which should provide decent protection against water. I feel confident enough to use it outdoors exposed to the weather. It certainly looks sealed enough that it could handle rain and splashes of water (I would say at least an IP65 or IP66 rating). Not sure whether it could be completely submerged under water (as the claimed IP68 rating would suggest), though it's possible if the insides of the motor are sealed as well as the visible wire joints are. These seem to fit my needs quite well and I have no complaints.

Works perfectly!
These fans work perfectly!Like every other case fan I've ordered, these came in multiple parts- the fan unit, 2 wire guards, 4 screws, and 4 nuts. Assembly was easy and self explanatory. The screws stick out about 1/4 inch past the end of the nuts.I tested them using a variable power supply that output between 0 and 12 volts. The fan responded appropriately and the RPMs varied with the supplied voltage.I have not tested them for long periods of time, but in my limited testing they worked exactly as they are supposed to, so they deserve a 5 star rating.

Works well
Great little fan for many projects

Great for making a home made fogger for my tent.
I like that this fan in waterproof. I have been using it for the last 2 months for a homemade humidifier for my gardening tent. It provides the perfect air flow to put the mist in the air. I will be buying more when I increase my tent size.

Ventilated the inverter on my RV
I know these are intended for a computer, but I installed them so they would ventilate the inverter compartment of my RV. When my inverter get hot, it turns off. No wonder it got hot tucked away in a sealed compartment on a hot summer day. I put one on the right side of the compartment blowing air in and one on the left blowing air out. Tied them to the 12 volt system on the RV and added a toggle switch. Now when it is hot outside, I will turn these on rather than leaving the compartment door open. I hope it works. Can't test until next summer.

easy 2-pin connection, good airflow, comes with finger guards, and is waterproof
What's not to like? I needed an 80 mm fan to fit in an electical project box, and this one fills the bill. I'll be using the "project box" in some tight spaces (finger guards will keep my fingers out of the blades, as well as othe items), and the good airflow is definitely needed to cool the other components in the automotive power supply modifier/testing device I'm building (since it will be used underhood sometimes). And, of course, with a 12vdc automotive electrical system supplying the power, the fans had to be 12vdc also. Though I won't be using the project box when it's wet outside, it never hurt to get IP-rated parts, just in case. Good stuff!
