The Academy

Entertaining, Engaging, and Inspiring... well done PBD!
I typically read self-help and business books but I thought I'd give fiction a turn because I've been a fan of Patrick Bet-David for a few years and after reading "You're Next 5 Moves" this book seemed to be worth the read. The Academy was entertaining... I crushed it in 4 days and I left feeling inspired to ask myself if I was living up to my true potential as well as inspired to really invest in educating myself. It served up a great, entertaining story with some lessons that really hit home for me.This book is worth every penny... maybe much more.

Good Writing, Interesting Story
**The Good:**"The Academy" is a well written book. The plot tells of the Assyrian named protagonist Ashur Yonan.Like many Joseph Campbell acolytes, his life begins as ordinary. No high school diploma, no future in sight, just a dropout with a chip on his shoulder. But then there’s this invitation, like a hand reaching out from the dark, pulling him into something he can’t even begin to understand. The Academy. That’s what a mysterious group calls it.But it’s not some Ivy League; this is a different kind of education, where history isn’t just a dusty book but a weapon.Ashur stumbles into a world that feels like a thriller's fever dream, a place where everything you thought you knew gets ripped apart, reassembled with tech that shouldn’t exist and whispers that history’s been lying to you since the first heartbeat of time.Past and present come together, and somewhere in the mess, Ashur has to figure out if this secret society is a ticket to greatness or a fast track to becoming another forgotten cog in a machine that’s been running since before your ancestors knew fire.Growth, discovery—yeah, sure. But mostly it’s about survival.**The Questionable:**Patrick Bet-David's writing in this book feels noticeably different, and stronger compared to his previous ones. This makes the reader wonder just how much of it was ghostwriter Spencer Gaffney? Could he have written the book? Who knows.Mr. "Bet-"David takes full credit and it's his 'raise' or fold.

Fun read
“You are destined for greatness, but it’s a greatness you must discover yourself.” These words are spoken to Ashur, the protagonist of the novel, by his father, Odishoo. The novel is a fun read that follows Ashur, a young man from California, but whose ancestry dates back to ancient Assyria. He is recruited by a secret society and quickly finds himself needing to reach the greatness he is destined for. I managed to finish the novel within a week as the story was fun to follow. My only criticism is that the book binding is not very good. Other than that, it is a good book!
