Loved that I was able to enjoy some lovely music and singing.Nice lyrics and a relaxed style.No hates

Ok, Jimmy Durante does not have anything close to a good singing voice, but the songs on this album are memorable. In fact, the movie You've Got Mail even uses one of his songs in their soundtrack. Worth a listen.

Jimmy Durante had a long, unblemished career in show busines. (Just TRY to find negative articles about this sweet man.) Much of his musical and movie output was loud, raucus comedy. Late in his career, he put out three albums of standards backed by big band arrangements and full chorus. This 1965 collection was the third of the three albums. The other two were 1962's "September Song" and 1964's "Hello, Young Lovers". You will find on these albums some of the same songs used so effectively in movies such as "It Could Happen To You" and "Sleepless in Seattle". Sentimental, a little sappy, but so beautiful. Jimmy Durante's musical maturity shines in these recordings. GET ALL THREE.

Durante will surprise you. Excellent, enjoyable cd.

Jimmy Durante's unique singing style carries the message of the lyrics in a profoundly meaningful way.Listening to Durante sing a song in his poetical style is a fine way to absorb some aspects of the eternal wisdom of the ages;for the ages; and, for all ages.Anyone who fully listens to Durante's selections and renditions will come away the better for it.

I've always loved Jimmy Durante and this cd is no exception. My favorite song on it is "I'll See You In My Dreams." I'm so happy I was able to find it on amazon.com.

Lovely old time musicalto a listener arrangements....Jimmy has uncultured singing voice but soooooooooo timeless and to a listener very addictive.
