It works... Kind of.
It locks the door... automatically, I might add, after about 10 seconds unless you change the factory programming. And, yes, it's wonderful to have a device that will work with a keyboard, fingerprint, and actual, physical key - and they include a whole bunch of those, which is great! However, I took off one star because the actual locking mechanism is not perfectly aligned. The bolt will randomly stay partially locked - about one third of the way out. This is unpredictable and irregular. When I tested the lock (with the door open) I had to push the bolt all the way in with my finger in order for the lock to completely open.I doble checked the installation but the problem is the bolt is just so slightly twisted in relation to the opening where it slides in causing that unwanted resistance sometimes. Bad machining?Of course, if you're patient and try locking and unlocking again it will eventually fall into place and open... Annoying but usable. Also, the programming of "master" PIN codes, user PIN codes, and fingerprint is a bit confusing and slightly complicated. It took me many tries to get it to work as I wanted. The other unusual and annoying feature is the location of the "0" button at the right of the other nine numbers instead of below like everyone else in the world does it. I get that it's a space saving design but it adds to the confusion.Four "AA" came with the package. I assume that with all the testing and fidgeting those will probably not last very long so I'll be replacing them with lithium ones or rechargeable ones very soon.It has beeps and color coded signals to let you know about locking, unlocking, programming, etc. once you figure it out (which took me a while). The fingerprint opening mechanism DOES work (see video) when you finally figure out how to program it correctly. If you have a big family or many people to give access to, it will be a bit tedious to program it all.Too soon to tell how resilient and robust the mechanism is, but I hope it lasts long because this one's on my main door! ; )The only other observation (which I foolishly didn't realize - my bad) is that once you replace your doorknob with this, there's no way to easily pull the door closed or open - nothing to hold on to! And this lock is slippery so it won't help to pull the door closed by grabbing the edges.I'm going to buy a door handle to avoid the instinct of using the key to pull the door towards me - which I'm sure would cause undue stress to the mechanism.Other than these caveats, it offers a fairly good value for the price.

No more fumbling with keys or getting locked out from lost keys!
I'm really impressed with the technology of this lock and the many ways you can utilize it to access your home. It even gets my wife's seal of approval, explanation to follow! This is our first lock of this nature due to my wife just refusing to move to better technology, she says she feels electronic locks aren't very secure, but she's always been a little suspect with new technology. Fortunately, I'm the type of person who loves and embraces technology, especially technology which simplifies everyday life. That said, I took the plunge and installed this lock on our main entry/exit door.Let me say with all sincerity, this lock is well-made, and I feel it is just as secure as a normal deadbolt would be. It's solid and has a hefty feel to it. To me, this equates to a good locking cylinder and a hard to defeat locking mechanism. The lock comes with everything you'll need to install it into an existing door. And it also comes with templates if you're going to install it into a door which has not been pre-drilled and cut for locks. The installation process was very easy for me, I had to problems at all and all total it took about 10-15 minutes. I posted a video of my installation just to show the process is straight-forward and easily accomplished.Once installed, the programming process is fairly simple, the instructions are easy to understand and follow. I would suggest reading through the instructions on the programming first to familiarize yourself with the process before actually diving into it. One point of advice, when programming the fingerprint function, cover the fingerprint pad fully and hold your finger on it until the light flashes. This lets you know the fingerprint has been accepted, you'll have to repeat this step five times in order for your fingerprint to be loaded into memory. Again, don't rush through any of the programming process or you could get frustrated. If you've never used fingerprint recognition on a device, you'll be amazed with how it works on this lock! You come home, place your finger on the fingerprint pad and the door unlocks immediately, hardly any latency at all! And to lock the door when you leave, just press the lock button on the outside of the lock; very simple processes. Of course, you can use the keypad as well and you can also program user codes which you can then give to friends, neighbors and family should you want them to have access to your home. After installing, the lock will likely be set to lock automatically after a few seconds. You can override this to not lock automatically by referring to the programming section in the instructions; it's very simple to do.The lock comes with 5 keys, I'm sure they'll become rather dusty from non-use but it's nice to have them just in case something should go awry. The lock has a low battery indicator as well as a type C emergency power port so it's unlikely you'll ever get locked out. It also comes with four AA batteries needed for power. My wife loves this new lock because now, she doesn't have to go downstairs to the garage to get her keys out of the car in order to lock the door! I think she's finally coming to realize technology can be a good thing. This lock is a great replacement for an old one or to upgrade to the smart lock technology. This lock is a good value with all the features it has available, and it gets my seal of approval as well!

Exceeded my expectations.
I think this smart lock is great and meets all my needs. First, the installation is very simple; you only need a screwdriver to complete everything. Second, the fingerprint sensor is highly sensitive. I registered five fingerprints, and as soon as I place my finger on the panel, the door opens in less than a second. I also tested it with fingerprints that weren’t registered, and it couldn’t open the door, which makes me feel very secure. Third, sometimes when I'm wearing gloves and can’t use the fingerprint feature, it also allows you to enter with a password, which is especially convenient in winter. It has other features like auto-lock as well, but I noticed that this brand has another model that can be controlled via an app, though it’s a few dozen dollars more expensive than this A100 model. I think this one is already great. Finally, about the battery, it’s advertised to last 12 months, but I haven't used it long enough to confirm if it really lasts that long. If there are any issues, I’ll provide feedback.

Missing some fo the nice features
This lock is good but not great. It has no WIFI features which would give it the fifth star. It has all the other features of being able to open with fingerprint, code or key. Many new locks allow the use of key fobs this lock doesn’t have that feature. Installation is easy and no more difficult than installing a traditional deadbolt except for one wire and batteries. The key is not compatible with Kwikset keys and I have not found what it is compatible with so I can pair up the doorknob with the same key. I guess that is the difficulty with purchasing a lock not made is the US or made to be compatible with the major brands. Other than that, the lock works as described and saves having to hunt for keys to open it.
