I have a laptop which doesn't have an Ethernet port so when my wifi became choppy i didn't have an option to connect my laptop to the internet via a wire which was a major problem while streaming Netflix or movies. This product has made life easier as i can now easily connect my LAN wire to this device and then connect it to my laptop via USB. Very useful and good price!

Access to multiple USB and LAN port through one USB port
I am using it and found very good to have extension to multiple USB port along with LAN/Ethernet. Perfect for those who don't have Ethernet port, limited USB port on laptop and need to have support of all these ports through one USB port..

Introduces enormous lag even when one item is attached.
I should have known the price point was too good to be true. But the dongle causes enormous lag when using a mouse or keyboard, up to a second at its worse. The lag makes mice, keyboards, or expandable memory unusable. So if you need an ethernet jack to usb the dongle will work perfectly. If you need a usb splitter go with something else if you don't to be tempted to throw something across the room.
