Despite a couple minor challenges, I like this tree topper.What I don't like:- Setting it up wasn't very straightforward and the instructions confused me. I watched the video on the project page which helped.- The part where the two plastic parts pierce the holes (which is how it's set up) might deteriorate over time, so I'm unsure how many Christmases I will get out of this (unless I just never flatten it again). I'm just concerned that those holes may loosen or crack over time.- When I scanned the QR code it took me to a web page, which had buttons to get the app in the App Store or on Google Play. When I clicked to get it on Google Play it did not take me to the Play store. Instead it downloaded an APK file to my phone. I have a policy of not installing APKs from unknown sources. So I searched in the Google Play Store for "Hello Fairy" (the name of the app) and installed it from the Play Store.What I do like:- The star is very beautiful, even when it is turned off.- The star looks gorgeous from every angle - even from the back.- The remote works very well. There are a lot of options on the remote, so there is still a lot of functionality even for people who may not wish to use the app.- The app is intuitive and easy to use. I did have a hiccup trying to connect, but that as because I had turned bluetooth off on my phone. So ensure bluetooth and location is enabled, and you can connect very easily.Overall, I like this star a lot. For me, the things I like far outweigh the things I didn't like (those things are very minor to me). I'm rating it based on how pretty it is, the ease of use of the app, and how nice it will look on my tree with my other decorations.

This Christmas tree topper is kinda cool. It's really pretty. It's neat how it allows you to choose from so many different color themes. It easily connects to the app and is controlled that way. My only issue is that it is a lot smaller than I expected it to be. Such a small star will look rather crazy/silly on a large sized Christmas tree. It would have been perfect if it were larger but again, this will work really well for someone with the right sized tree for this topper.
