TDC Hudson Bay Tobacco Box

I ordered the tin made from copper and am very happy with the purchase had. The top, lid, and lens cover fit very well together, requiring just the right amount of force to separate without being overly difficult but also being snug enough that you don't have to worry about them coming apart accidentally in your pack.The copper is shined to a near-perfect mirror and will patina with age very nicely. The lens is clear and focuses a strong beam of sunlight for solar ignition.These are made in the USA and are true to originals I've seen from America's frontier era.Make sure to wrap the contents of the tin in a soft cloth, as the underside of the lens is exposed and had no metal protecting or covering it.

There is nothing that I don't like about this tin, I carry it with me whenever I go woodsing, it has produced a marvelous patina and is a welcome addition to my more traditional gear,, I have a copper tin by the way

Husband loved it ! Magnifying glass does light fire beautifully!

Overpriced. Had a cracked lens as well as a split in the tin where the lens in held. And the manufacturer sells it for $10 less. And is going to reimburse me shipping on the return, when Amazon will not. I expected more for almost $50.

Pretty pricey for 1empty tin. When a tin with striker and tinder all together cost $43.00.
