Lights do not turn on and off with the remote. Houses are pretty small

I really think these are super cute and will be a perfect addition to my little Christmas village. I did knock off a store due to the fact the trees all come smooshed together, which leaves them all misconfigured and nearly impossible to fix. The houses are nice. Being ceramic, you can even paint them if you want. I love the remote. You just need to turn the lights over, put the switches all to the "On" side. Pull the little tab in the remote out to activate the battery and voila. It works. You just press on and off while pointing at the houses, and the lights will turn on and off. Nice touch. Price point could certainly be lower in my honest opinion. But overall, I like these and we saved the box for storage so we can use them every year.
