Punching time fuse for cross matching in shells and other pyro devices has been aggravating pyros the world over for ages. Due to the stiff construction of time fuse, reliably knocking out a hole for black match can be a frustrating endeavor. And, without cross matching, timing and ignition problems are bound to occur. The FireSmith Time Fuse Punch reduces this problematic task to a simple, yet reliable process. A total redesign from the ground up, the new FireSmith Time Fuse Punch is an essential item in every pyro's toolkit. Now featuring two bores to precisely position time fuse for accurate punching at either 1/4" or 1/2" from the end of the fuse! Simply insert your time fuse into the hole of the punch body, and using a mallet or small arbor press, pass the punch through the time fuse. This action removes a 1/8" diameter slug directly through the core of the time fuse exactly 1/4" or 1/2" from the end of the fuse. 2-3 strands of black match can then be inserted into the time fuse for proper fire transfer. This tool is constructed in such a manner than any debris from the punching process are ejected into the cavity in the bottom of the punch body, eliminating any binding caused by buildup. Fully CAD/CAM designed and CNC machined, the punch can be easily clamped in a vise or bolted to your workbench. The punch body and cap are aluminum, while the punch itself is hardened tool steel that can be easily sharpened or replaced.
