Arrived today loop to loop without ring or hook its 26cm. its about the diameter of a biro.i bought it for my motorbike ignition key. from the size i thought it would be super stretchy like the old plastic ones but instead it was resistive. as my ignition key is 2ft away it felt too stretched for my liking. i held the cable and pulled the caribiner and the cable is strong very ideal for small items. for me i will go with a tool lanyard instead and give these to friends

Simple robust design, the cable is akin to a scaled down old telephone flex. Expands out to over a metre if needed and springs back into shape with no problem. The cable itself appears quite strong and have had no concerns of breaking. The carribener is small with a simple spring gate, it is not a locking type

very flimsy for use in a kayak or at sea, connected paddle to one and it broke off when paddle fell in water

Good size for lanyard for a small knife or small torch - good sized carabiner on one side - I would have wished for more sustainable key ring on the other side but it’s ok (I intend to use it for yachting knife and similar sized tools); certainly good considering the money paid.

light and suitable for attaching/securing small items that might be at risk on a kayak. The lanyards extend quite a long way considering their small size and are not suitable for any bulky items, e.g. a 5 kilo dry bag: they are good for small items that you really don't want to lose. The lanyards are compact and fairly durable provided you use them within sensible limits.

I use these for keeping fishing tools close to hand. They attach to a belt, rucksack, pocket loops and so on. They may be inexpensive and they are not top quality but do the job admirably. Seawater kills everything so when these go I will just buy some more.
