Great small camera. I wanted something small and this is perfect, hides in front of the mirror and does a great job. Installation was easy, just the usual fishing wires up through door posts etc and the app came up and works great on my mini iPad. However, it does not work on an iPhone 4S that I tried. App loads, but does not function, but that's ok. I'm very impressed with the image quality, I don't use sound, but it will capture voice easily. Couldn't be happier.

This dash cam is very easy to use and I haven't had any major issues with it, especially when it has been sitting in the heat for days. The image quality, stability of the image and brightness is adequate for my needs. My only complaint is the date resets itself to January 2020 every couple days, meaning I have to resync it every other day, but for a cheap dashcam that records well, this is a minor issue for me.

I've been using this dashcam since oct. 2019 and it's been flawless. The only thing that higher priced dash cams have that i personally don't need is a screen that you can look at to see exactly what you're recording as you record it and you can view playback on the screen. This one you have to view it on your phone or pull the card and view it on a computer. Which works for me. This is a very good dash camera for the price.

Was just looking for a cheap but reliable first dashcam. Installation was easy and have had no issues so far with performance and image quality. The image quality is decent enough that you can clearly make out the majority of details, though license plates and other smaller details can be a bit blurry at farther distances (I assume this is likely the same for many other budget dashcams anyhow). In 100+ F temperatures I have noticed that the small cord adhesive hooks can come off the windshield/plastic dashboard if under tension, but after putting the two that came off in different spots with less tension they have not seem to come off again. The camera itself has stayed well seated and has had no issue with its adhesive, and I would recommend this if you are wanting a dashcam within a smaller budget.

This is to replace an older Ojo unit which they all barf due to their internal battery failing; this Blueskysea unit uses a capacitor which gets around the problem of Li-ion batteries and heat.Picture quality is as good or slightly better than my Ojo.The Blueskysea unit is a lot thinner in profile, so in most applications easier to install.I do not use the mic audio, so I won't comment on that part, but other reviews claim it's not very good.One big problem I have run into is toggling to turn off the WiFi (holding button down for several seconds) resets everytime I start the car.It could be possible the unit can get jacked with the WiFi always on, but robust password should minimize this risk.Another problem with the WiFi is that it will intermittently drop on you while you're connection without warning.One second you're trying to access the menus, perusing the vid files, downloading a vid file, and it just won't continue.You can still access SOME features, but not all of them nor can you see all the vid files when you know there is more.When the WiFi drops, it doesn't kick you out or freeze - it looks like you have limited access to stuff...very puzzling.Only power cycling the camera itself and relogging in will fix this.As everyone else mentioned, if you want to use the security more, the unit need to see power all the time - easy to hard-wire, but they want you to buy extra parts which is not really necessary.For a $50 - $60 camera kit, you get great vids.No MicroSD card comes with the camera, so be prepared to make another purchase, unless you option for a kit that explicitly says it's included - mine didn't.Also, if you're going to do a lot of downloading, get a MicroSD card reader not you don't have one on hand - this makes for faster transfer of data without relying on the built-in WiFi, which is pretty slow.ADDENDUM:The camera stopped recording new videos, but there is no indication (blinking green LED) that there was a problem.The features clearly states that the unit should overwrite; I'm not too sure if the emergency vid space was filled, or if the normal vid space got filled - but it should not do this, right???I only found out about it when I was checking the vids for downloading...This is kinda scary.ADDENDUM:After running it for half a year, I noticed that the date / time stamp kept resetting - to some September 2015 date.So I have to constantly resync the date via the app function.This is a pain, as it might have consequences if you need to use the video as legal evidence, and some lawyer is going to object to the wrong date and time stamps.ADDENDUM:It has been over a year since purchase.I've had to drop my review down to 1-star.I've found out that the camera will not record properly here and there.This is very bad if you need to rely on coverage.There is no visual notification that there is something wrong - I constantly check the blinking green LED.When I recently went to check a "saved" (i.e. "emergency") vid that I had pressed the side button to save, that "block" of vids (both normal and saved) were no where to be found.There were vids available before and after that block.This is unacceptable.

I've been using these little (damn near invisible) dash cameras for years. Front AND Rear. Even bought a couple as Christmas presents. Even if the price was double what it is...I'd still have to strongly suggest.

Had been looking for weeks for a camera that has a MICRO USB connection and this one had it. Sadly the app needs to be installed and the phone needs to connect to the cameras wifi to work. No bluetooth connectivity. Further the auto recording feature when power is turned on will record but then stop after 5mins and not restart. In order to record your drives; you need to have your phone connected to the wifi from the camera which is too cumbersome. Not sure if a firmware update would have fixed this but its going back.

Today I was involved in a motor vehicle accident after someone ran a red light. The driver of the other vehicle failed to remain at the scene. I was confident my Blueskysea dash cam would provide footage of the incident. I was wrong. I was disappointed.I purchased this item in 2021. Installed it in my vehicle correctly, downloaded the app to my phone. No issues. After a couple months of usage I was unable to access pics and videos from my phone. I called and emailed Blueskysea customer service and was told to download "software update or patch" from internet. I followed Blueskysea instructions and like many others I was unsuccessful. I was actually told by one of their employees their app/software was a failure. My only option to view pics and videos was to remove SD card from camera and insert it in my phone or laptop. Blueskysea refused to give me a refund/exchange months after my purchase.Like many of other purchasers I figured as long as the camera is still recording images and video onto SD card I'd be "protected". Everytime I started up my vehicle the green light would flash and the recorded voice would speak. Wishful thinking. The "loop" feature on the camera stopped working. The camera had not recorded any images for several months including my accident today.Prior to my purchase I did due diligence. I read reviews from Amazon and viewed many videos on youtube. For this particular style of dash cam Blueskysea was always rated in the top 3.My advice to anyone considering this product, save your money.

Bought this dashcam for my new car, waited until the spring to install it and now it is passed the return period.The camera itself is decent, no real complaints for the price, the install however was an extremely frustrating process, with instructions that were clearly never reviewed by a native English speaker.Dispite buying the suggested memory card (64gb) I had to reformat the card, and then upon getting everything installed and working correctly, I come to find cannot be connected to your mobile data and dash cam at the same time.Terrible experience overall, I cannot steer you further away from this product, please buy a different option.

Have to delete always wifi connection and reinstall each time to make this camera connection to work,,oufffff
