Forbidden History With Jamie Theakston: Series 1-2 [DVD]

big fan of jamies show hope the rest of the series comes out on dvd soon .only problem is the background music is louder than jamie talking quite hard to here what hes saying something with music in the background. this is not a problem when you watch the shows on yesterday channel.

A really nice summary of some of histories "mysteries"....good, fast service at an excellent price.

Oh where to begin?Most people who'll buy this will be no strangers to things like "The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail" and Dan Brown's "Da Vinci Code", but if they were hoping this series adds to the body of knowledge on the subjects covered, they'll be disappointed. It's mostly pure speculation, together with chats with people who have already added their voices to the conspiracy theories.But sometimes it sinks even lower. The above pics are screen grabs from the episode called "The Mystery of the Giants", in which they explore at some length the mystery of the Sardinian Giants, who they eventually suggest were (gasp) "over 2 metres tall"! See the problem?And then the second series, we get the same lack of substance but the production values seem to go right out the window. The talking-heads often repeat themselves. Some of the episodes are clearly allowing for American audiences where the program is constantly punctuated with commercial breaks. And sometimes the 'background' music is so loud that it's difficult hear the voice-overs.Save your money!

I noticed “the quest to uncover the historical Jesus” was missing from the videos??? I had watched it on the “History Channel” and was the main reason why I decided to buy the collection. Not happy 🙁

The DVD was excellent and the service was first class

These are old speculations warmed over. No proof only opinions from a group of people with questionable academic competence.
