Fascinations Metal Earth European Knight Armor 3D Metal Model Kit

I've made 4 of these models before, 3 vehicles and one building. I was expecting this knight to be easy. I didnt buy it for the challenge, I bought it because I thought it would look good on my shelf. Think about it, it's a metal model of thin sheets of metal modeling something that was originally made of thin sheets of metal, perfect right?And it is perfect, almost every piece of this model represents the actual larger piece of armor this is mimicking. Other Fascinations models are just abstract representations of something, but this knights armor is truly a mini version of actual armor which makes it so fun.But it turned out to be very challenging. In retrospect it's very obvious but I wasn't thinking about how much bending would be required. Normally you just punch the piece out and mate it with other pieces. In this model almost every piece needs to be bent into some curve which adds a huge layer of difficulty.I'm not done with him yet but I would guess this will end up being a six hour project. But it's so worth it. It's something you can build on your couch while listening to music and makes no mess and requires few tools. It's good to have hobbies like this. It's time spent off the internet, working towards a goal.You need good tweezers and maybe needle nose pliers. I imagine a good small wire cutter would be useful but mine aren't of good enough quality to be useful. As long as you have good tweezers you're fine.Buy this for the fun of making it. It takes time and patience but makes no mess and is a great way to spend a weeknight with Netflix or music in the background. Anyone can make this if they have good eyes and patience.

Great puzzle,looks sweet when done.It makes a nice addition to the other puzzle sold here,which is the horse armor.Not incredibly hard to do,but it does require good hand coordination The added colors makes it pop

It's helpful to be working a few steps ahead in instructions. For parts being shaped, knowing how subsequent parts must fit helps with knowing the needed fit. Great model if you have experience with these kits. The tool kit for these models or something similar is essential. This had a lot of small parts which made some of the fitting difficult, but it's a great challenge. The end result is a cool figure. I love how the gold stands out. I would definitely purchase it again.

I lacked the expertise to do this perfectly, but it is superbly designed and I was able to finally figure it out.

Very challenging, need the hands of a surgeon and the eyes of a microscope.

My 15 yr old son enjoyed building this. Took a couple hours. Very precise pieces so it was a good challenge but do-able.

C'était mon 9° model de metal earth. La notice n'est pas claire, le métal trop fin j'ai un gantelet qui s'est sectionné en deux morceaux. Le casque est impossible à mettre sur le corps d'armure. Les bras ne se montent pas correctement.ça tire sur la fixation du bras et sur l'épée de l'autre. Les épaulières sont à revoir.Bref si vous voulez un chevalier préférez le Templier abandonnez celui-là !

Es muy entretenido de armarlos, la calidad de los materiales es muy buena. Vale la pena.
