This is a nice cylinder lock, accurately 50mm symmetrical construction.5 keys provided and a key card if you manage to lose all of those.I have no way of rating the security capability of the lock but I am going to have to believe what it says.

Recently upgraded the lock on my front door with this cylinder, and it's been great so far. Installation was a simple enough – just a matter of measuring the old lock and swapping it out with a screwdriver. Took me about 10 minutes. The included screw and five keys were a nice touch - replacement keys are typically expensive, and yale 3 star cylinders only comes with 2 spare keys I think.The lock feels solid and secure, and it turns smoothly without any of that sticky resistance you sometimes get with cheaper options. It’s a 3-star BSI rated lock.One thing to note is that the key only goes in one way, nowadays I would have expected more. I haven’t had any issues with the lock being stiff or difficult to turn, and it works fine from both inside and outside.All in all, happy with the purchase. For around £30, you get good peace of mind and a simple installation.

Got this to use as a replacement barrel for a back door as it would have cost me as much if not more to get new keys cut. This comes with 5 keys which look more like car keys than door keys.The lock feels solid and is sturdy once installed, the BSI kite mark and anti snap design are a welcome addition for extra piece of mind.Price wise currently at £32.99 with an aditional 10% off voucher and although there are cheaper alternatives I have been quoted as much as £10 for key cutting. having 5 keys included should be enough for the average family.

It is only recently that I have started to realise that the Euro locks on your doors may not be as secure as you would want them to be.At the time of this review I think that the 3 Star TS007 is probably the best standard you can get. My existing patio doors are only a 1 star, so plenty of opportunity to be more secure by using this lock.What I do find is amazing is the Euro lock design and not easy it is for anyone to check and replace. As long as you measure the old lock and order the equivalent then a screw driver is all you need to swap them over.This lock comes with 5 keys which, I feel is important as these are not the kinds of normal keys you cam get cut and need to send off for additional keys.The only thing I feel is slightly annoying is that you can only insert the key one way so you have to look at the key to make sure it is the correct way before you can insert into the lock.I have rated this lock fours stars due to the key being directional.

These XFORT locks are nicely made and arrive packaged inside an appropriately sized cardboard box alongside a set of five keys and a screw for installing it into place. Though, in most cases people will already have the required screw for fixing it in place but even still it’s nice that they’ve included it for those with new doors or have damaged or misplaced the original screw.I like that they’ve got several charts and images showing the correct way to measure your existing cylinder as it’ll help people ensure they’ve got the correctly sized lock for their installation. Generally speaking being a 5mm off on one side or the other isn’t a huge deal but with these having the thumb-turn knob on the internal side the closer you can get the better when it comes to sizing, especially on the internal side.On arrival, I had the lock out of the package and into the intended PVC door in less than five minutes for a basic swap from an ageing existing lock. The process is the same as any other cylinder swap, you just have to undo one screw and then use the existing key or thumb-turn knob to get the lock into the right orientation, and it’ll slide right out of the door. If you’ve got a broken lock that has been damaged and/or tampered with then the process might be a bit more involved, but a basic swap couldn’t be any easier.XFORT isn’t a massive name in the lock industry, but I've seen them around more than a few times in various stores and websites selling security hardware, so they’re not exactly a no-name brand coming out of nowhere. The three star BSI Kitemark also implies that the locks are actually tested and have met certain specifications which is also reassuring and the build quality and the design reflects other 3-star locks I’ve used and installed from other brands.As far as value for money goes the pricing of £32.99 is around the typical asking price for a 3-star cylinder on Amazon at the moment, so the value isn’t terrible at all. Ultimately I can’t fault the lock itself, it feels smooth to lock and unlock and everything looks and feels like it’s made to a good standard throughout. Being able to get a bunch of different configurations including thumb turn and double keyed locks in singles and alike packs is also great and gives you the flexibility to choose what suits your needs best.Happy to recommend if you’re after a good quality source for 3-star BSI cylinders in a variety of form-factors, sizes and various combinations of keyed-alike, thumb turn and double keyed.

Nope, this is very poor quality, I am convinced that if you fit this to your door you’re going to end up locked out of your house at some point, it looks and feels cheap, the metal appears cast and cheap. The key takes a bit of fiddling to even get it into the lock. It may be more secure than a normal euro lock and there are some very good locks of this kind. This, is not one of them, cheap clunky rubbish don’t put it in your door!
