Superior quality, but my head's too small
I like the flat cap and own several. I speak from experience when I say that this is a superior quality cap. It is well sewn with quality fabrics, particularly the interior, which is velvety soft on my bald head. It is also thick enough to ward off a little chill, though not so thick as have me sweating in the spring. The branding is limited to an inconspicuous leather patch on the side, and it appears that it could be easily removed without damaging the hat, if you were inclined to do so. But there is a downside, at least for me. Unfortunately, my walnut-sized head is too small for even the Small-Medium cap. It doesn't really look big on me from the observer's standpoint, but the lightest of breezes will whisk this from my head into the canal. I'm going to attempt modifications, perhaps padding the interior band to get this to fit. It's just too nice of a cap to give up on. And I can't in good conscience deduct any stars for my own cranial deficiency. This is just a fine cap, and I recommend it to all normal-headed people.

Nice Looking Hat - Listing Needs a Sizing Chart
I ordered the Cole Haan Newsboy Cap because I've made this cap style my trademark. I have a shaved head (not completely shaved, but it's pretty close), and it's also above average in size. I typically wear hats in the 8.25 - 8.5 range. As for a Newsboy cap, this looks and feels fantastic. The wool material is light enough to minimize the weight but offers enough protection for my head. It is warming (it contains wool, after all), but it isn't hot when worn in more mild climates. I wore it around the house in the afternoon without feeling hot and sweaty and only took it off because, well, I was inside. While it does stretch to fit head sizes within a set range (my hat is the L/XL style, which was the largest size when I ordered), it is a wee bit tight on me. I wish there were one size up, which is why I took off a star. It would also be helpful to include a sizing chart as L/XL is quite the range, and I'm sure that "slightly too tight" for me might be "too loose" for someone else. This is a quality hat, no doubt, and the current asking price of $40 is higher than some, but within range for this type of quality. I will continue to wear it (just not around the house anymore).

A quality ivy.
Love me a good ivy! Shell consists of a 85% polyester, 15% wool blend. Lining is 100% poly. Recommends spot cleaning with mild detergent for maintaining its dapper goodness. Excellent construction, inside and out. Made in China, but of obvious, perceptible quality. As comfortable and stylish as it is well-made. Retains warmth well without ever making me feel hot, though it does sit a little shallow on the head compared to some hats. Still have a few months over here before I know if that's a problem or not in terms of warmth or not.L/LX worked well for me with a 23" head circumference (and there are no resizing bands tucked away in the band as I have seen on some other hats.)

Very nice cap
I gave this to my husband as an early Christmas present. He shaves his head bald, so he needs something to cover his head for warmth in the winter. He usually wears a ball cap or trucker hat but, in my opinion, there are situations where these are not appropriate. Same thing with a beanie. This newsboy cap (I know it as a driving cap) is nice looking but understated. He could wear out it to dinner, or just go put gas in the car. He doesn’t look out of place. He says it’s very comfortable and warm but doesn’t get too hot. He’s not thrilled with the way it fits. I got him a L/XL and it’s just a bit too big for his head. But the S/M would definitely be too small, even if it stretched.. Overall, I think you can’t go wrong with a black wool-blend cap, especially if the head fits.

Fun newsies cap
I got this mostly for fun. I don't know that I'll wear it a lot, I'm more of a baseball cap kind of guy. But I spent a couple years in Italy and this was a common hat there. I will wear it this winter season, as I need to be outside more. The material is nice and warm and I'm looking forward to wearing it during an event like Christmas Caroling with my quartet.

Timeless Style
My husband really likes this hat! He usually wears a large/extra large so that is what we ordered and it fits true to size. It is warm and stylish, soft and very well made. He was impressed with the stitching of the headband and thinks this hat will last for a long time. I think he looks great in it too!

nice cap but could be "deeper"
This is a nice looking and well made flat cap. I got size L/XL, which is what I usually wear in these types of hats. The circumference fits pretty good, but the cap doesn't come down very far on my head. It feels more like it's just sitting on top of my head, so I don't think I'd like to wear it on a windy day, much less when riding a bike or driving a convertible. So I give it four stars for looks and construction and less-than-ideal fit.

I really like this hat
This is an excellent quality hat. The material is thick and soft, ideal for cooler / cold days. The styling, stitching, etc all looks great. The only issue I have is that it runs a bit large. I usually wear a large hat, so I ordered the .arge / extra large. I wasn't quite sure about that, but it has been a very long time since I wore a small hat. Well, this is just a bit large for me. It stays in place, is comfortable, and retains some heat, but it is a bit large. Keep that in mind when selecting your size, and you should be very pleased with this purchase.
