Description says, ‘Glass cheese/cake dome with slate serving board’Nothing of the sort at all, okay the dome part is correct, but it’s not glass it’s more a plastic/Perspex and it didn’t come with the slate serving board.Would be nice if you could contact the seller direct, rather than having to leave a review and also receive the product as described!Clearly false advertisement!!Also, left the parcel with my neighbour jack apparently, don’t even have a neighbour called jack. My husband got home to See it sat quite clearly on the doorstep for anyone to take.Will be returning!

I was just on the verge of returning this item because, like all the other reviewers, I could not see a base in the box. Thankfully one person did mention that there was a base but it was well hidden. There is a box within the box and the base is under this box in its own styrofoam layer. If you open box from other end you will see white styrofoam and be able to remove easily. Can't believe this hasn't been addressed by supplier with a sticker or something on the box as so many have been returned for this reason. The item itself is lovely, a bit expensive for what it is but then I did buy it for its aesthetic appeal. I'm planning on keeping mini cacti and succulents in my and it will make a lovely display.

Looks nice but nowhere near the size it says. Base is 12" across, top hexagon is 7" across and height from centre of slate to centre of top hexagon is 7.5". The brass joins from base to top measure 8" each.

I absolutely love this stand / cover !I have been looking for one or taller cakes as my cake stands are normally height amd won't fit taller cakes .This I nice and taller I could probably even get 5 or 6 teirs in it.Nice quality with a slate base .Thankfully I had read the reviews regarding the slate base being in a separate box at the bottom of the first box otherwise I would have missed it .Would highly recommend this product !

Totally gorgeous I’ve used mine as a wedding shoe display and thanks to other people’s feedback on here I found the base is hidden you have to take Both boxes apart. It’s like a box in a box!

Absolutely stunning,used it to display so many dishes last month and it got so many compliments.I was not sure that if I placed the sweets directly on it I would be able to easily clean it(especially since they were all submerged in syrup,so I put them on a protective layer first.
