Just got this today - what a disappointment! The fabric used for this hat is too lightweight, there is no double stitching. There is no rigid band around the crown to allow it to maintain its shape, so it falls flat on your head as soon as you put it on. I don't see how it can be called 'washed cotton', and calling it 'army cadet hat' is a joke. The supposedly adjustable buckle doesn't really adjust. I have a similar style hat I bought at Target a couple of years ago, and it's of a much better quality, although it cost less. I like wearing this style of hats for hiking and other outdoor activities. It's good in cutting out the sun, and this style looks good on me, as opposed to the baseball style hats. I was hoping to have a second hat to wear outdoors, but there is no way I am putting this on.Sadly, in recent years, Amazon has been selling a lot of inferior merchandise from China. They don't seem to care about the Amazon name being associated with this shoddy merchandise. I don't think I'll be ordering from Amazon again, unless I am familiar with the brand and the specific product I am buying.

I used to have a fitted hat like this years ago that was everything I wanted in a hat. But unfortunately it was stolen by an unscrupulous ex-roommate and so after 3 years without it I decided to finally try to replace it. I knew it would be difficult to find another quality hat and I wasn't wrong.Like others have said, the fabric is very flimsy and light with no rigidity at all, and the single stitching makes me feel like this hat won't last very long. There's no band around the brim to maintain its shape, so it collapses on your head when you pull it down on your head. To remedy that I used some decorative pins to hold the piece of cardboard it came packaged with to prop up the front of it. Some have said it's like a train conductor's hat and that's because it's too big around, and the brim's insertion points are awkwardly placed so when you tighten the back it develops pleats in the corners. I can't recommended this hat but I paid for it so I'm going to wear it until it falls apart. It's not horrible but unless you want it for a costume or something, look elsewhere.

I just bought three of these two black and one green. The product arrived in a short period and I am happy with that, however I have a small round face and the brim is longer than expected. I bought the original at a local hat store years ago and hoped to repeat the purchase after I found out who made it. The picture is misleading but it’s not the manufacturer fault. I have another one coming that may be closer to what I want in the brim. I have only had the two for two weeks so I can only testify as to the shipping, the material seems to be good quality but time will tell.

Had one of these gifted to me about 3 years ago. Was a gold studded one that looked and felt awesome. Last them good 3 years before finally needed replacement. Unfortunately it seems like they dont sell them anymore but the navy blue they have is real close, although undecorated. Still a great hat and company though, hope this new hat last just as long or even more!

This hat has an ever-so-slightly higher crown than I typically like, I prefer cadet caps with a pretty low profile, but otherwise this hat is exactly what I was looking for. High quality build, canvas-esque feel without being too thin and papery, and a reliable adjustment system that isn't Velcro. (Now my hoods don't get stuck to my hat)Love it, price is excellent, color is great, could hardly be happier.

Let me preface this by stating that I'm definitely not a hat/cap person. But I really needed protection from the sun during my daily walks. So I was even more pleased when trying this cap on with great results. It fits perfectly and looks quite nice without being overly girly or at the opposite end of the spectrum, too manly. Big time fan and I might order more in the future, in different colors.

Well made hat, good head size adjustment. Could use some more substantial vent holes to increase air circulation. I bought this hat to use in archery outside in the sun and hoped the short bill would not interfere with my recurve. It unfortunately does so you have to cock the hat back on your head to shoot without the string bumping the bill-- I shoot barebow so Olympic style anchors ( i,e, under the chin) may not have this problem. Better than a regular baseball hat but not quite the cats' meow yet.

I bought this cap to complete a science fiction convention cosplay contest movie costume (i.e., "Forbidden Planet," 1956) that I'm developing, and it worked out perfectly, being a near-perfect match for what was needed. A real value for the money, I might add., too.

This time I was not satisfied with the product, I found it to be of poor quality. I do not recommend it

Beautiful. Good adjustment. Low profile. Love it
