Great way to get Mesquite flavor on your steak and burgers. Finishing salt only.
Just make sure you use it as a finishing salt. Donโt cook with it or you will lose the smoke flavor. I add it to my steak and burgers just before eating.

I was skeptical, but we love it!
We thought we would like this.... and we love it... but we did not know what to expect.MAN---- this stuff is good.When we first opened and smelled it, we thought it might be too strong, because it smells like a campfire... but this stuff really picks-up almost any boring dish by adding a subtle smokiness. We really like it.It is delicious on: burgers, shrimp, eggs, beans, steaks, and I even used it in a hot pepper sauce. Just use it in moderation, you can always add more later. This one pouch of salt will likely last us years.

LOVE Durango Hickory Smoked Salt
I first got this many years ago, and still love it. I can't grill outside except when it's cold, so if I want a bit of grilled/smoke flavor, I add a bit of this salt to whatever other seasonings I'm using to get a grilled flavor. I do use different flavors of smoked salt for different proteins, but the Hickory is my favorite for ribs, steak, and chicken. I like Alderwood for salmon, and Bonfire for tandoori chicken.
