Quality product
Quality product, should last a few years. Easy to connect to hose pipe, just push in. Don’t have the water running too hard though, be patient, it will refill your pond. Excellent German Oase product.

Very easy to use
Great product and makes a lot of sense as I have a pond and fish tanks so this will work out cheaper than liquid dechlorinator in the long run.

Know what its limits are... not that good! 😕
I wonder how many people have actually tested if this item works as advertised before giving 5 stars? I have.I have an accurate flow meter and DPD 4 testing tablets for Chlorine. At just below the recommended flow rate of 9 litres per minute there was still Chlorine present at a level high enough to damage koi. I slowly lowered the flow rate in steps and tested each time. At a flow rate of just 2 litres per minute, the level of chlorine was still above the safety level for koi (0.02mg/litre). I was not prepared to drop to 1 litre per minute as that would make the de-chlorinater not fit for purpose.Looking carefully at the box it seems that if your water supply has a chlorine level higher than 0.5mg/l, you will need to run two of these in series. This is not made clear in the description. My tap water is on average around 0.8mg/l according to South West Water’s recent water quality report.Another word of warning: Be sure to flush the unit before use, or you will dump a load of carbon dust into your pond. Disappointed and feel a little conned by a company (Oase) I had great respect for.Update 20 June 2022I now own a very accurate electronic chlorine test meter. So far I have run 38000 litres through this canister. My tap water is 147 ppb (parts per billion) chlorine. At 6l per minute this canister reduced it to 105 ppb. At 3l per minute it reduced it to 85 ppb. All I can say from my experience is the effectiveness of this filter is not good enough for a fish pond unless part of a trickle feed. 100 to 300 ppb can be lethal to fish, so as you can see, while it reduces my tap water to a level that’s not immediately lethal, you need to note chlorine damage is cumulative and as a result, at 3l/minute, 85ppb is far from ideal for my koi.
