The torch is excellent, however after two years the magnetic switch has seized. I contacted the seller - GUZZI sas - for details of how to get the torch repaired under the Fenix 5 year warranty. GUZZI sas told me that it was Amazons problem not theirs. I would recommend that you buy the torch but avoid this seller at all costs.

This torch uses a magnet in the function selector ring. The magnet(s) is (are) unprotected from the water and consequently rusts causing the selector ring to seize up. Using a spray lubricant before diving and soaking the torch in fresh water after use does not help in the slightest. You can see the rusty water drain out from under the selector ring.Fenix’s older SD10 was simpler with a shake-to-select method of choosing between lighting modes and has proved to be reliable for many years of diving.The design of the SD11 demonstrates the uselessness of using exposed or even plated magnetic switches when coupled with sea water. An obvious fail for a dive light of any variety.
