Extremely poor durability
I'm writing this review on 9-12-24. I purchased these boots in June and received them on 6-19-24. I got less than three months of use out of these before the sole started separating and worn holes in the sides, see pictures. I did not wear them every day either. I work as a land surveyor and generally get about a year out of a pair of keen boots. I decided to try a different model other than my tried and trued keen Pittsburgh, that was a mistake.Durability and quality of this model is extremely poor and I would avoid at all costs. I do not work in an extreme environment, essentially hiking in the woods and some paved surfaces.Water proofing lasted about a month, sole separation started around 2 months with holes starting shortly after.Worst shoe purchase to date. If I could rate lower than one star I would.

Well-built hiking boots that need a couple minor tweaks
I've spent the last 4 summers wearing Keen Newport sandals every day and absolutely love them. I needed a pair of hiking boots and I was pleased to find that Keen makes them. I bought these boots in size 14 Wide...yup, I have big feet!Pros: The boots appear to be very well made. The stitching is tight and precise. There is ample wrap around protection for the toes. There is a good amount of space in the toe box so my toes don't feel pinched after a long hike (this has been a big problem for me with other brands of hiking boots) but I also don't feel the fit is too loose. The sole traction pattern gives good grip on loose, stony ground and on sloping trails. I appreciate the good ankle support. And I think they look good too!Cons: The insoles do not offer much cushioning or arch support. I will upgrade with quality replacements soon. I can feel rocks that I step on up through the soles. It's not painful or anything, but I can feel the pressure on my feet. This bothered me at first but I soon got used to it and quickly found it easy to ignore. I'm hoping that new insoles will help with that. The provided laces are way too short! There's barely enough extra length to tie them and there's no way I could double knot them if I wanted to. So I need to replace those as well. This probably won't be a problem with boots that are a smaller size.I rated these 4 stars because of the insoles and laces. If those items were better, I would have given these boots 5 stars.
