I’m Enthralled and Obsessed!
As a 2nd generation Irish-American, I am, in no small measure, enthralled by Susie Murphy’s Irish historical romance series entitled “A Matter of Class.” Susie’s character development is comprehensive in breadth and depth, leading this reader to feel she has been swept up in a holistic appreciation of each one in body (physical appearance and attributes), mind (the strengths and weaknesses of their thought processes, reasoning, decision-making, and the like), and spirit (their spirituality, integrity, core beliefs and values, and essence). Their familiarity and richness are both comforting and thrilling, as Susie interweaves plots with unexpected twists and turns. The stories flow within various settings, including rural and urban Ireland and England, and urban locations in the U.S. (Boston and New York). Susie’s skillfully shows the reader the stories as they unfold through the eyes of the characters, rather than boringly telling the reader what has transpired. I fully and enthusiastically endorse Susie Murphy’s “A Matter of Class” series and encourage readers to buy and immerse themselves into it asap!!!

Together
This was such a wonderful series to read. I did not want it too end. The characters are so well defined and engaging in their actions.

good Historical read
I like this series. It was fun to see the characters develop. At times, the descriptions, and the re-explanations got to be a bit much. The explanations of the areas that they visited and lived, were interesting and it would take you to that time in history where making a living, getting along and living day to daywas a chore

As compellingly as the first
Many times a continuing story dulls as the author reiterates the facts and rests on the success of past books. This is not the same with Susie's books. This book was as compelling as the previous ones. The characters were always growing and the situations were certainly historically based and plausible. She catches you up with gentle reminders of past connections and characters without belaboring the details. I wish every book I read was written with this skill of storytelling. It was just thoroughly a pleasure to immerse my head and heart into this story. I'm just sorry that it ended as I must patiently await the next chapter.
