If you need to connect a number of light-load electrical items such as Christmas lights or patio festoon lighting, this box is ideal.For my needs, I also wanted to use it to connect some heavier-duty machinery on and keep the connections dry, i.e. a cement mixer. The multi-socket extension lead included with the box is a little light-weight for my needs, so I have swapped it for another that has built in thermal protection as well.The box has some great fixings that allow it to be mounted on a wall or similar so it is not just lying on the ground.The fastening clips are good and strong and also have the ability to utilise a padlock to keep the box secure.If you want a light-weight way of keeping your connections dry, this is great value.

I've got lots of these boxes for the garden this one wasn't the cheapest but we'll worth the money

This is the perfect solution to keeping your electric connections safe in any dirty or wet environments. Supplied with a 10m 4-gang extension lead, this tightly sealed box will protect you from short circuits when working outside. My pictures show the box in use whilst I was using a garden shredder, with debris flying around and garden greenery dripping from the previous nights rain. In practice you get five inlets, one supply and four outlet leads. Each passes through a clamp, and the box lid clips down tightly. Overall, even though I used this probe on the ground, for best protection you might place this vertically with the cable glands at the bottom. The plastic of the box seems sturdy but has that slight flexibility which means it should also be somewhat resistant to impact damage as well.This is an essential garden aid to protect you and your equipment, and I'd get this again if I needed another one.
