Smells Good - Looks Good
It’s a quasi bougie fragranced hand soap. It is what it is.

Amazing product
We came across this brand in a hotel in Paris. The scents are incredible and unique. The packaging is simple but classy. Its not a cheap product, but I prefer to its competition like Rituals.

Expensive, plastic bottle
Ever since covid and we all being more aware of cleaning our hands regularly, I’ve had a penchant for high end hand wash, thus making regular hand washing feel a little treat! To be honest, when buying expensive hand wash, I go for looks first and when I saw this, I thought the bottle looked understated but classy. I WAS expecting a glass bottle but this is plastic and not too dissimilar in size, shape and material to cheap Baylis & Harding. The scent is a strange one… I can only describe it as musty zest. It’s definitely a more masculine fragrance. I only needed to use one pump to wash my hands so this will be long lasting. It not only looks but feels a slimy wash, it does lather up semi well and when washed off, my hands definitely feel squeaky clean and the strange scent lingers a while. I’ve got to admit, I’d never heard of grown alchemist before and therefore are not familiar with their products and based on this ignorance, I’m gobsmacked at the price for this hand wash. I am a bit of a sucker for luxury branded hand washes and if this was in a glass bottle with a delicious scent, I’d probably investigate this brand further but on my experiences with this hand wash, I won’t be buying into the brand. If this was the same price as Baylis, I’d probably choose Baylis and that’s coming from a self certified hand wash snob!

A gentle and hydrating handwash
This hand wash comes in a dark brown plastic bottle with a plastic pump dispenser.I have very sensitive, dry skin and tend to react badly to soaps - I'm very sensitive to SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate) in particular. This soap is SLS-free and uses sodium lauroyl sarcosinate as a surfactant instead. It sounds similar, but sodium lauroyl sarcosinate is not at all related, it is derived from coconut oil and is far more gentle and natural and not known for causing irritation.I can confirm that this soap is very gentle on my skin and doesn't leave it feeling dry at all - it actually feels very soft. I usually use Dr Bronner's which is another quite expensive SLS-free soap, but I actually prefer this one as it leaves my skin feeling much softer and more hydrated. It doesn't foam up a lot, but since I always tend to use SLS-free soaps, I'm used to this and it isn't really an issue - it is quite easy to distribute and cleanse. The smell is actually much fruitier than I was expecting, you can definitely smell the tangerine. The cedar and ylang ylang add a subtle earthy, woodsiness - it is a really lovely smell, just a bit sweet. It may seem expensive, but if you're looking to take care of your skin or avoid adverse reactions to nasty chemicals, I'd 100% recommend this soap.

Expensive but aimed at anti ageing the skin
This is a very nice soap, in a premium looking dispenser. 500ml will last me a while as I find one pump of the dispenser is more than sufficient. It feels lovely and silky as I rub it in, no doubt because of the oils, and my skin feels very soft after using it so I don’t need to follow it up with hand cream. I love the scent which initially I could smell the zingy tangerine when I pumped it into my palm.I was interested to investigate the company behind Grown Alchemist and why it is a premium brand so I had a look at their website and it appears they aim to produce vegan, natural products with anti ageing properties.I generally don’t buy expensive creams and potions for anti ageing as I’m not convinced they work but I’m going to keep using it and see if it has any effect on my hands which are starting to age.

very rich, smells divine
Grown Alchemist Hand Wash: Cedarwood Atlas, Ylang Ylang, Tangerine - Aromatic Hand Cleanser Infused with Relaxing Scent - Natural Bioactive Botanicals Leave Skin Clean and Balanced - 500mL is the perfect hand wash if you need a wash which not only cleanses your hands but also leaves them feeling soft and conditioned.I fully understand it is a considered purchase due to the high price, but it is one you would buy for your own ensuite bathroom or for when you know you are going to have a special visitor and you want to impress or even spoil that special person in your life. Would make a perfect gift and one which would be well received.Happy to recommend.

surprisingly odourless
Don't get me wrong as a soap it definately cleans. However given the list of ingredients I did expect a decent odour. Unfortunately it does not have one (maybe a mild butterscotch smell) well if it's there, it is too subtle for me to pick up and I do think I have a decent sense of smell. For the cost I am disappointed I could get this cleaning power for a quid from Aldi TBH.As a luxury item with a luxuriant smell it fails totatlly to deliver.I won't be purchasing again.

Strong smelling hand wash.
This is a lovely hand wash that lathers up easily and leaves your hands smelling amazing for hours after. The soap comes in a large bottle with an easy to use pump. The pump dispenses the perfect amount as well which is great. The smell is amazing. It’s incredibly strong and as soon as you pump it out you can smell it. It lingers in your skin for ages after each wash which I love.I also found that it didn’t dry my hands out like some hand wash can which is also another plus.Overall I’m really happy with this hand wash and would definitely recommend it.
