Be patient...it's worth it!
I ordered this lava lamp for my desk and it's perfect! However, it did take a FULL week of running for 8 hours a day and then allowing it to cool before it started to run smoothly. It's a beautiful lamp and the lava moves as it should now. I am happy with my purchase...it just takes patience.

Classic looking lamp
This is a classic looking liquid motion lamp that works just like the name brand ones. If you've not used one before, expect a warm up time of at least an hour before the action starts. This isn't something you can just leave on for extended periods either. After a few hours, it's best to shut it off and let it cool off. I'm happy with it.

Great classic lava lamp, but needs better packaging.
This is an excellent, traditional lava lamp. No LEDs, no glitter, no motors, etc. It's just a chunk of wax heated by an incandescent light bulb. It's very bright and has great color.However, my lamp arrived with a couple of small dents in the base so I suspect that it needs better packaging.
