Fun arrangements - intermediate player
Some arrangements are better than others and i wish there was some accenting on the “improv” solos to help me pick out the melody as I sight read. But i love the jazzy twist on familiar classics.

Rich and fun!
I absolutely love this series! I now own three of the books and will eventually buy more. The arrangements are not hard to learn if you enjoy sight reading and are not afraid of jazz rhythms or accidentals. Buy with a sense of adventure. These are rich jazz harmonizations. Don't complain about the chord selections if you want a jazz book. If you want straight Disney sing-alongs buy a different book. These don't come with words, but the chord notations are helpful for checking notes, understanding progressions, and even adding your own variations. If you don't get the style of the pieces listen to more jazz. It's the only way to learn. I won't comment about the specific arrangements but I think they all have something to offer. It's a matter of taste, mood, and preference.

A different version of Alice In Wonderland -- both are excellent!
There's a lot to love about Disney music and having them recast into jazz settings just makes them better. Best pieces here are "Alice In Wonderland" (a different and easier arrangement than the one found in the Bill Evans Volume 19), "The Bare Necessities," "Beauty and the Beast," "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo," "Chim Chim Cher-ee" (a personal fave that a determined advanced beginner can play), "A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes", "He's A Tramp" (another fave), "When You Wish Upon A Star," and "A Whole New World." The only dogs here are those from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. The problem there is the source material. Overall, this is great volume of music. I recommend it.

this series has given me a great outlet for my love of jazz
These are outstanding arrangements and a blast to play. As a classically trained pianist that does not have time to learn jazz improvisation and arranging, this series has given me a great outlet for my love of jazz. I have several books in this series and I particularly like the ones arranged by Brent Edstrom. I hope Hal Leonard continues to publish more of these books as I feel they fill a much needed and often overlooked niche.

Best arrangements I've found
Love all these books. Great arrangements, not too difficult, and usually in the same key as the original - and lead sheet so you can go back and forth between them.

Love this! Beautiful arrangements
Love this! Beautiful arrangements, that looks simple (key of C! lot of quarter, dotted quarter and eight notes!) but in fact include unusual voicings -what IS E7#5(#9)? - that sound great when transcribed.

Too Jazzy
Be aware that they’re very jazzy arrangements and not simple sweet Disney music.

Fun arrangements
This is a fun book of jazzy disney arrangements. I obtained my rcm level 8 many years ago, and now play frequently, but just for my own enjoyment. When I first opened the book, I was intimidated! With a little practice, the songs are coming along nicely. The music is a challenge, but a fun challenge.

Excelentes versiones
