Love the fragrance here, and makes my hair feel all bouncy, soft and flowing.

Lovely smell, leaves hair very shiny and smooth
I was fortunate enough to be able to try both the volumizing shampoo and matching volumizing conditioner from Fable and Mane, so my overall review relates to them being used together.First off, I love the design on the box; the purple/coral colour combination and the tiger illustration really give it a premium feel - this is a nice brand! The brown plastic bottle has a pump dispenser which works well to deliver the product. The shampoo is a clear, slightly yellow tinted liquid, it doesn't offer as much foam as other shampoos I have used and I probably used more product than normal to achieve a level of lathering I felt would leave my hair clean. The fragrance has notes of sandalwood which I personally really like.My hair is fine but with a medium-high density so a good volumizing product can make a difference. I found that whilst my hair was noticeably shiny and smooth (I received compliments on it!) it didn't look much thicker. As a step in a process that includes a big blow dry and volumizing mousse etc. this would be a good addition, but on it's own I didn't see amazing results. I found that my hair was a bit more tangly afterwards, if anything.I appreciate that this is a premium brand, and it has lots of ethical benefits - they are vegan, cruelty-free (PETA approved too), sulfate-free (always best for coloured hair), free of parabens and synthetic fragrances, so a lot of time, effort and money has clearly gone into developing this brand (designed in London, made in the USA, inspired by India!). This of course is represented in the very high price tag (at the time of writing, it's on offer for £24.95 for 250ml).Personally I wouldn't purchase this again at this price point, not because I don't like the products (I do!) but I have used cheaper products that are equally ethical and also have nice results.

Initial scepticism led to sheer joyful exuberance!
Perhaps you're sensing a little hyperbole in my headline, and maybe you're correct, however I am very impressed with this product.First, let me say, I got this for my mother, who has fine wispy hair. She's always trying out new products that offer thickening/volumising properties, with the caveat that they must be "cruelty-free". When I saw this, with its vegan/cruelty-free accreditation I knew she'd love to try it, the only issue I personally had with it was the price. I do think that at its current price of £24.95 for 250ml, it is a very expensive shampoo.Upon receipt, I was impressed with the packaging, it's all very earthy and natural and eco-friendly, and ticks all the current boxes. It smells GREAT, absolutely delicious, I think that's the fenugreek. My mother was pleased to receive it, loved the smell also, and after using it once, she immediately went online and ordered the conditioner, she LOVES it.It does markedly thicken her hair, but it leaves a bit of an odd rough texture, I guess that is the price you pay for bulking the individual strands out so much. I am not sure how she has got on with the conditioner yet, but either way, the shampoo is very impressive, it smells great, and the price is a lot easier to stomach considering the product actually delivers on its claims.

Lovely luxurious shampoo
I needed some new shampoo and having tried Fable and Mane products in the past, thought I must try out their shampoo. The shampoo arrives in a lovely box, so could also make a good gift. The bottle also looks good and has a pump, so is easy to dispense the right amount. It's got a lovely smell to it and so far I've been really happy with the results. It lathers up well and feels lovely in my hair. After rinsing my hair has been great and it hasn't dried my hair out like some others do. Recommended.

Great for my fine hair - but very expensive
I'm not familiar with the Fable and Mane brand, but it certainly looks classy - although I would have preferred a glass bottle. I always tend to go for natural shampoos, and importantly, this one is silicone-free, vegan and cruelty-free, with lots of lovely natural ingredients, including fenugreek seeds, which apparently add body and fullness to your hair. As I have fine hair, this was what primarily attracted me to this shampoo. My first impressions were good as the scent was quite subtle and refreshing, not at all overpowering as some Ayurvedic herbal mixes can be. I often find with more natural shampoos that it can be hard to produce a lather, but this certainly wasn't the case with this one; the instructions said to use at least 3 pumps of shampoo, but 2 were plenty for my hair - which is also good news in terms of affordability.I've never coloured or treated my hair in my life - it's naturally blonde, even now I'm in my 70s - and always let it dry naturally. The first time I used this shampoo, I lightly towel-dried it, fluffed it up with my fingers (it's naturally wavy) and was really impressed with the results when it dried - it was beautifully soft, shiny, full and fluffy! I often find that the next day my hair then goes flat and lifeless, but with this shampoo it was just as good the next day.My only reservation with this shampoo is that it's very expensive - currently £24.95, reduced from the RRP of £28.00. It's only a small bottle too - just 250ml - so whether I buy another bottle will very much depend on how long this one lasts, and whether I continue to be happy with what it does to my hair.

Great quality volumising shampoo
This volumisimg shampoo by Fable and Mane is great quality and works well. It is easy to use and lathers up well. It leaves my fine hair feeling voluminous without weighing it down. My hair also feels soft, nourished and clean too. I really like the results that this shampoo has and I think its good value.
